I’m referring to the blatant lies told about the Sugar based spread that admittedly tastes good but is downright laden with sugar, not as advertised being a healthy chocolate hazelnut spread which is a good way to start your day. In fact by weight Nutella is 52% sugar and sugar is by far the most dangerous food you can eat.

Why, you say….

Ok but first consider this, Ferrero the Italian manufacturer suggest 2 ounces spread on toast in the morning. So your 2 ounces of Nutella is slightly more than 1 ounce of pure sugar. This means that each month you are eating approximately 2 pounds of sugar, Yes that’s close to 24 pounds of sugar each year.

Now bear in mind that all carbohydrates are converted into sugar in the body. Statistically it’s been proven that the average European eats approximately 65 ponds of sugar each year. Feel bad, well if you live in the US it’s worse because there it’s 140 pounds.

Now some information which I’ll try to keep as understandable as possible avoiding too many medical terms.

Your blood is not just red stuff flowing through your veins, it’s a very complex and necessary component to survival. There are many component’s of the blood that like your organs play a vital role . Two of them are Calcium and Phosphorus, there should be a very specific range between then which is 2.5 to 1.0. And again there are very specific ranges which I’ll not bore you with now.

Anyway when the balance is knocked out of whack it creates some significant problems, in fact now your body is susceptible to, Cataracts in your eyes, Calculus on your teeth, Kidney stones, Gall stones and Arterial sclerosis.

Oh and by the way look at this article  taken from Wikipedia:

Class action lawsuit..

In the United States, Ferrero was sued in a class action lawsuit for false advertising that led some to believe that Nutella carries nutritional and health benefits, being touted as ‘part of a nutritious breakfast’. They agreed to pay $3 million (up to $4 per jar for up to five jars in returns by customers) in an April 2012 settlement. The settlement also required Ferrero to make changes to Nutella’s labeling and marketing, including television commercials and their website.[6]
