In life we all go through good times and bad times, admittedly some are better than for others and worse than for others, but it’s strange how we all tend to think about those other people as just “lucky” or “unlucky”.
I think we all know someone we knew as kids or worked with many years ago who for some strange reason had an incredible stroke of luck or we can think of others as people who were just terribly unlucky and suffered with an illness or bad luck in their relationships.
After some fairly horrible and painful events in my life I’ve been forced into making changes in the way I live. I’m not living in my $550,000 house in Colorado, I’m no longer earning a 6 figure income and not in a marriage and I have MS.
But, I’m not sad, I’m not unhappy, I’m not depressed even though I’m now back in the often wet England in a small flat. I’m actually quite happy, and no that’s not because I’ve just accepted the changes as “this is as good as I could expect” no, it’s because I have a totally different perspective on life.
“When you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change”.
