Food stamp expenditures explode under Obama

Posted by: Stef605  /  Category: Uncategorized

Documents obtained through the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) reveal the Obama administration is actively marketing the federal food stamp program (SNAP) to illegal immigrants. A Spanish-language flyer obtainer by Judicial Watch says, “You need not divulge information regarding your immigration status in seeking this benefit for your children.”

A copy of the document is viewable by clicking here.

“USDA is actively working with the Mexican government to promote food stamps for illegal aliens,” said Judicial Watch president Tom Fitton.

Although it’s far worse now, this has been going on for years. Back in 2006, Judicial Watch wrote in its Corruption Chronicles: “The United States Department of Agriculture is spending taxpayer money to run Spanish-language television ads encouraging illegal immigrants to apply for government-financed food stamps.”

Nearly $75 billion of taxpayer money is spent each year on federal food stamps, and it turns out some of that is alarmingly being handed out to illegal immigrants — people who contribute nothing to the federal tax base in America but who seem to be experts on collecting social welfare benefits of all kinds. If you are working for a living, you are buying food for illegals who are being actively recruited by Obama and the democratic party so that they will vote more democrats into office.

Sen. John Thune (R-SD) and Rep. Marlin Stutzman (R-IN) are reportedly working on a bill that would prevent the Obama administration from marketing food stamp benefits to illegals, reports Breitbart.com.

Food stamp expenditures explode under Obama
“Since President Obama came into office, SNAP participation has increased at 10 times the rate of job creation, the annual spending on SNAP has doubled, and one in seven Americans now participates in SNAP,” Thune said. “This explosive growth in both the SNAP enrollment and federal cost of the program is alarming and requires lawmakers to take cost-effective legislative control measures.”

As the U.S. government’s own website admits, the federal food stamp program (SNAP) has increased from just 2.8 million people in 1969 to nearly 47 million people in 2012. Expenditures have now reached nearly $75 billion a year.

As Natural News has previously reported, recipients of federal food stamp money can use it to buy soda pop, birthday cakes and even luxury seafood items. Soda companies are currently raking in $4 billion a year from federal food stamps.

As the grocery receipt on the right shows, people are using food stamps to purchase lobster and porterhouse steaks. Yep, it’s true: Food stamp recipients, who include illegal immigrants, are using taxpayer money to load up on lobster and steak.

It also turns out you don’t even need to be poor to collect federal food stamps. “A federal audit revealed last year that many who don’t qualify for food stamps now receive them under a new ‘broad-based’ eligibility program that disregards income and asset requirements,” reports Tom Fitton at Breitbart.com.

Food stamp recipients can buy all the junk food they want, but they are prohibited from buying vitamins or nutritional items. The big banks like JP Morgan Chase collect billions of dollars a year off the transaction fees supporting the SNAP program.

SNAP promotes junk food, big banks and illegals
The truth about the federal food stamp program is that it promotes junk food companies, transaction profits for big banks and of course illegal immigrants. JP Morgan, by the way, donated more than $800,000 to Obama’s 2008 election campaign, and after the election, Obama worked to explode the food stamp program, generating countless millions of dollars in transaction revenues for JP Morgan.

This program, administered by the USDA, is really nothing more than a nationwide handout program to bribe voters into voting for big government. While I have nothing against people relying on federal food stamps to help them through a temporary, short-term crisis, what we have today is generations of voters who live on food stamps and other welfare programs. Far from being programs of “compassion” to help those in need, these programs have ballooned into grotesque, unethical systems of lifelong dependency that destroy dignity and train voters to live like helpless victims rather than capable human beings.

But that’s the way the democratic party wants it, of course: the more people they can trap in a cycle of poverty living on handouts from big government, the more votes they can win at the ballot box. He who promises the most handouts wins the elections, it seems, and there’s no reversing it once the welfare hoards exceed 50% of the popular vote. We are dangerously close to that level right now, and once we cross it, there’s no turning back from financial suicide. The voters will simply vote themselves bigger and bigger handouts until financial parasitism guts the entire economy and leads us all into a financial apocalypse.

At that point, we’ll be dealing with what I call the food stamp zombie hoards — tens of millions of people who have no idea how to work for a living, partially lobotomized by junk foods and vaccines, roaming the streets in a desperate search for food because their government benefit cards stopped working. That scenario deserves another article altogether, so I’ll save the details for later.

But make no mistake: the Obama administration wants to put millions of illegals on federal food stamps, then it wants to grant them “amnesty” citizenship so that they keep voting more democrats into office. They, in turn, will keep pushing more and more handouts until the country finds itself trapped with an 80% tax rate (like France), a 50% unemployment rate, and a cultural invasion of former Mexican nationals who inherently support socialism, political corruption and the abolishment of individual liberties.

Spread the word: We must STOP the growth of SNAP and return it to sanity. For starters, no non-citizen should receive federal food stamp benefits. But that idea seems alien to today’s Washington bureaucrats who are trying as hard as possible to turn America into the next Mexico.

Be afraid. Be very afraid, kids.

The intemperate, extreme nature of today’s education establishment just keeps getting more and more absurd, as evidenced by details of a recently filed lawsuit surrounding claims that a teacher was suspended after bringing garden-variety tools to class.

Attorneys for The Rutherford Institute, a civil rights-oriented public interest legal organization, filed the suit on behalf of Doug Bartlett, a 17-year veteran teacher, after he was suspended by officials at the Washington Irving Elementary School in Chicago for bringing wrenches, pliers and screwdrivers to class as part of a “tool discussion,” CNSNews.com reports.

Those tools, according to school officials, are weapons, you see, and as such, are not permitted on campus grounds.

‘Overreaction to a simple teaching demonstration
From the news site:

Despite the fact that all potentially hazardous items were kept out of the students’ reach, school officials at Washington Irving Elementary School informed…Bartlett, a 17-year veteran in the classroom, that his use of the tools as visual aids endangered his students. Bartlett was subsequently penalized with a four-day suspension without pay – charged with possessing, carrying, storing or using a weapon.

Again, you just can’t make this stuff up.

According to his complaint, Bartlett says he “suffered humiliation, embarrassment, mental suffering, and lost wages.” He is seeking “nominal compensatory damages,” as well as the removal of the suspension from his employment record.

“This school district’s gross overreaction to a simple teaching demonstration on basic tools such as wrenches and pliers underscores exactly what is wrong with our nation’s schools,” said Rutherford Institute President John Whitehead. “What makes this case stand out from the rest is that this latest victim of zero tolerance policies run amok happens to be a veteran school teacher.”

As stated, none of the students had any access to the tools. When they were not being used, they were secured in a toolbox on a high shelf that was clearly out of the reach of students. Bartlett’s only purpose in bringing them was to have a discussion with his students about their proper use.

Shame on him for wanting to teach kids how a screwdriver works.

“This is a suit for violation for Plaintiff’s constitutional due process rights resulting from the overzealous application of political correctness,” says the complaint, which also notes that two of the “tools” Bartlett brought with him were a pocket knife and box cutter – the “weapons,” per the school.

On August 8, 2011, in connection with a required “tool discussion” included in his teaching curriculum, Plaintiff displayed to his second-grade students several garden-variety tools, including a box cutter, a 2.25″ pocketknife, wrenches, screwdrivers, and pliers,” the complain says. “The visual aids were used in an effort to facilitate student understanding and remembrance of the curriculum. As he displayed the box cutter and pocketknife, Plaintiff specifically described the proper uses of these tools. Neither of these items was made accessible to the students.”

Be afraid. Be very afraid, kids.
It goes onto say that a complaint against Bartlett was lodged Aug. 19. He “was charged with possessing, carrying, storing, or using a weapon; negligently supervising children; inattention to duty; violating school rules; and repeated flagrant acts.”

The school’s definition of a weapon is extremely broad. According to the complaint, which quoted from the Student Handbook, a weapon is described as:

Any object that is commonly used to inflict bodily harm, and/or an object that is used or intended to be used in a manner that may inflict bodily harm, even though its normal use is not as a weapon.

Bartlett said he never had any intention of using any of his tools as weapons, nor did he think he was subject to suspension and other disciplinary action for bringing tools to his class for what turns out to be a mandatory part of school curriculum, according to the suit.

But in today’s breathless, hyper-paranoid “learning environment,” all we are really teaching our kids is to be afraid. Of everything.

That’s the real crime.

Can Environmental Devastation Be Reversed?

Posted by: Stef605  /  Category: Uncategorized

Can Large-Scale Environmental Devastation Really Be Reversed?

Throughout centuries of farming, animal grazing and deforestation, the earth’s natural resources have been exhausted. Deserts are encroaching into previous lush areas and water is becoming alarmingly scarce.

Our soil is depleting 13% faster than it can be replaced, and we’ve lost 75% of the world’s crop varieties in just the last hundred years. Over a billion people in the world have no access to safe drinking water, while 80% of the world’s fresh water supply is used for agriculture.

Even from space, the visual scale of the destruction is both disheartening and sobering. Add to this travesty the fact that the world’s population is expanding by a billion people every 12 years.

On a photographic assignment of the 640,000-square-kilometer Loess Plateau in North-Central China in 1995, cameraman John Liu witnessed the ravaging effects of man’s ignorance and greed. But he was amazed to discover that the mindful, purposeful efforts of local Chinese residents had rehabilitated a stark desert area the size of the Netherlands into a lush, green oasis.

He wondered if similarly devastated landscapes had once been vistas of lush, thriving vegetation that include waterfalls, rainforests and fertile valleys – before several thousand years of exploitation had stripped the land of every natural resource.

The epiphany Liu experienced spawned his provocative film, Hope in a Changing Climate, which he posted on the Internet. You could say the results have gone viral …

‘What Happens When Humans Don’t Understand How Ecosystems Function?’

As Liu witnessed the negative trend being reversed around the Loess Plateau, he discovered that not only can damaged ecosystems be rehabilitated, and that similar remediation can restore other parts of the world, but that the pathway for accomplishing it is fairly simple.

But the first order of business is to understand how it happened in the first place. It often begins with several thousand years of relentless grazing of domestic animals on mountainous slopes until there’s nothing left but barren ground.

Rains that may have restored the land erode, carrying fertile topsoil down the hillsides, effectively removing any chance for new growth to emerge. On the Loess Plateau, millions of tons of powder-fine silt were swept down into the Yellow River, not only obstructing its flow, but causing massive flooding and the river’s new name: China’s Sorrow.

On his travels, Liu noticed the same scenario of cumulatively encroaching desert land where it had once been fertile.

“The lands are exhausted. They allow hundred of thousands of sheep and goats to walk across here, and any green thing that sticks up its head is food, and they’re just walking around here getting everything. Well, you can’t let them do that any more. They’ll have to stop… that’s what’s destroyed this area. If that doesn’t stop, you won’t be able to fix this.”

Greening the Desert – Can This Be Replicated in Other Parts of the World?

This same trend in Jordan prompted the government to take action. Working with civil engineers and scientists, Liu sectioned off areas to allow the land to rest for three years. In an amazingly short time, grass began to appear. A plant species last recorded in the 1800s and thought to be extinct emerged on its own.

“Grasses develop perennial root systems that spread, encouraging microbial communities living and growing in this microclimate that’s created,” Liu explained. “Then you won’t have direct sunlight hitting, and UV radiation sterilizing this microbiological habitat. Then, everything will change – you’ll have a cumulative situation where there’s always vegetation, organic matter and biodiversity.

“You can see the relationship between hydrology and vegetation and biological life. That’s the basis of the air and the natural water system. It’s how the atmosphere and the hydrological cycle were created and how they were constantly renewed. …If we emulate those and don’t disturb them, we can live in the Garden of Eden.”

Eden Restored: Strategy-Inspired Green Resurgence

Centuries of vitality-sapping farming in Ethiopia have destroyed nearly every inch of vegetation, leaving wide swaths of bone-dry desert. Heavy flooding has etched deep gullies into the land, sweeping topsoil downward and away with nothing to halt its progress. With not even a drop left for farmers to water their crops, their animals or themselves, the ensuing drought and famine has been catastrophic.

But in just 6 years, villagers have planted indigenous trees and vegetation, transforming the severely eroded terrain. Rainfall now absorbs into the ground, feeding a clear stream that flows year-round, aided by the cover of dense vegetation. This has saved the region from desert-induced annihilation and instilled hope for a future of continued sustainability.

A thousand miles north in Abraha Asfaha, another miraculous resurgence has taken place. Where five years previous, heat and wind had induced drought, a government program instigated relocation for local villagers, who were given permission to set aside and remediate the land as the Chinese had. Now, villagers find water at the bottom of their wells, in spite of poor rainfall.

“In the ravines they built small dams which are now fed by underground springs… Rain that fell weeks ago slowly seeps through the subsoil, replenishing the supply of water. ‘The land has become fertile again,’ the village chief reports. ‘There have been enormous improvements. Our fruit trees were shriveled up, but now they’re growing again. There’s even a larger number of species. Those are really positive results. We now have food security. Our children can go to school. We have a better life. We no longer need to ask the government for support, thanks to the changes that were implemented.'”

‘People aren’t thinking about this ecological function. They’re ignoring science…’

Studies focusing on the relationship between the soil, moisture and organic matter helped scientists, ecologists and engineers form strategies to produce other success stories, such as one in Rwanda, where over-farmed hillsides caused serious erosion. In a desperate gamble to grow more food, poor farmers drained the protected Regazi Wetlands. But not only did this damage the wetland’s fragile ecosystem and wildlife, as it began drying out, it impacted power stations downriver, including the hydroelectric power system in Rwanda’s capital city Kagali three hours south. The Rwandan government was forced to rent diesel power generators to remedy the situation.

In bringing back the wetlands, as well as restoring fertility to the villagers’ lands, those responsible for its demise were solicited to help. Today, carbon-free electricity is replacing the diesel generators, stabilizing electricity prices throughout the region. Rwandan President Paul Kagame:

“We had to take a careful look at what had been happening to damage it, this system, and how to reverse that with human action. And it’s important to understand how human actions can destroy, or reverse what has been destroyed (to) even protect our environment.”

Identifying the Goal: Is It Temporary Production or Ongoing Sustenance?

Liu contends that our source of wealth is a functional ecosystem, not the products derived from them.

“It’s impossible for the derivative to be more valuable than the source. … And yet, in our economy now, as it stands, the products and services have monetary values, but the source – the functional ecosystems – (have) zero. This cannot be true. It’s false! We’ve created a global economic institution based on a theory of flawed logic. Carry that flaw in logic from generation to generation, we compound the mistake. “We’ve only just begun to understand the real value of natural capital. Surely investing in the restoration of damaged environments is a cost-effective way of solving many of the problems we face today.”

But farmers the world over sometimes need convincing. The problem, Liu says, is that they usually believe “production” is the goal, when the crucial, pressing need is sustainability so that the entire planet can be functional. In 1995, Jordanian farmers scoffed at the suggestion that trees be planted in order to build a more sustainable agricultural platform. It was confusing at first, but the premise held that investing in the program would come to fruition, literally, in their own foreseeable future, with the promise of ongoing agricultural enrichment for upcoming generations.

It meant the area’s farming-and-grazing status quo had to stop temporarily, but homesteaders were financially compensated. As villagers headed up the mountains with shovels, their new objective was to create a “hat” of trees at the top, terraces to form a “belt” and “shoes” – the foundation of a constructed dam at the bottom. Hills and gullies were designated as protected “ecological zones.” And it worked.

Permaculture: The Art of Working With – Not Against – Nature

Geoff Lawton introduced the permaculture concept in Australia, where rebuilding functional ecosystems from the ground up restores them to their fullest potential. It can create an agricultural heartland even in the desert in as little as three-and-a-half years, and being fully self-sufficient year-round, cycling its own nutrients without the need for irrigation or artificial fertilizer.

“Permaculture is the conscious design and maintenance of agriculturally productive ecosystems (to) have the diversity, stability, and resilience of natural ecosystems. It is the harmonious integration of landscape and people — providing their food, energy, shelter, and other material and non-material needs in a sustainable way.”1

Lawton says there’s potential for abundance even in arid climates like Jordan’s Petra, now a stark shell of what was once thriving, known as “the land of milk and honey.” With its “ecological range of diversity and abundance, there’s potential for water flow, regional climate and microclimate moderation, completely different hydrology and the potential for well-designed productivity, (can lead) to permanence in human culture.”

Without restoration, the cycle of poverty continues to be passed down from generation to generation. When the trend is reversed, quality of life is improved, followed by improved diet, healthcare and educational opportunities.

Nature: NOT an ‘Enemy’ To Be Conquered or Manipulated…

In just the last ten years, 100 million tons of herbicides have been dumped onto our crops, polluting waterways and the soil where our food grows. A genetically engineered crop called “golden rice” has tainted the entire food industry throughout Asia, thanks to a sizable investment of cash from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, which socked $20 billion into the enterprise.

Slash and burn agriculture, such as what’s done in Bolivia to make room for farming, involves burning ‘biomass’ – forests full of trees and fauna – for short-term monetary gain. But the most valuable commodity is being destroyed in the process destroying the most valuable thing in their system – the ability to help create biomass in other areas. It could create multiple industries in both areas and be mutually beneficial for everyone. Massive soy-growing plantations in Brazil are so dependent on the promise of economic wealth that local farmers are murdered and their lands confiscated, all to increase multi-nationally-owned soybean operations that decimated nearly 3 million acres of rainforest in just one year.2

Small- and Large-Scale Sustainability Practices – for Your Family, Community and the Globe

The life-giving effects of sustainability practices can be seen on several large scales now, but the principles are only as deep and complex as the soil. Compost feeds not just the plants, but the soil – or more specifically the soil organisms – is where 50 million genuses of bacteria and 50 million genuses of fungi thrive under the right conditions. According to Liu:

“Farmers in the Loess Plateau have continued to prosper, and the soil has been accumulating organic material from plants and animals. This holds the moisture and contains carbon… Living soils like this retain on average three times more carbon than the foliage above the ground. If we were to restore the vast area of the planet where we humans have degraded the soils, just think what an impact it would have in taking carbon out of the atmosphere.”

The entire Chinese continent has benefited from the lessons learned on the Loess Plateau. You can see it in the marketplaces, Liu says. Incomes have risen three-fold. We can make it happen here, as well.

The Ecosystem Isn’t Just Broken Over There… Look In Your Own Back Yard!

The tendency most of us have in so-called “developed” countries is to think those images of widespread ecological damage is far, far away and doesn’t involve us. But it does! Worse than simple farmers destroying the landscape through ignorance and tradition, the stripping and poisoning of our own natural resources is being done not unwittingy, but intentionally; not for the good of whole continents in the foreseeable future but for the financial profit of a few, now.

Perhaps you can’t do anything about that, and remedying those situations must be left to others. But you can make a difference now for yourself, for your family and community that might have residual effects.
•Growing your own vegetables is a growing concept for thousands of Americans. It can help you save money, involve everyone in the family and help create a store that can last through the winter.
•Organic gardening isn’t something extra you do – in fact it’s quite the opposite. It’s what you don’t do that makes the difference: no chemicals, pesticides, fungicides and herbicides on your plate! When you take control of what you eat, you’ll naturally enjoy better health, ensure and protecting future generations.
•Composting is another way to make what you already have work for you in the future. Save those scraps, from egg shells to coffee filters, and use them to feed your vegetable garden.

When shopping for food, be informed regarding where that food was produced. A guide to help you can be found by clicking here!

If you take advantage of the farm-fresh sustainability that’s becoming more prevalent as people take control of what they’re consuming, you’ll realize many benefits. First, you’ll know where the foods you and your family eat comes from, ensure optimal nutrition, and protect the health of future generations

Dynamic ‘Active’ Stretching Improves Performance

Posted by: Stef605  /  Category: Uncategorized

Do you dutifully bend and touch your toes for 60 seconds before you start a workout? For many, stretching and exercise go together like peanut butter and jelly – after all, we’ve been told for decades that stretching is key for warming up your muscles and helping to prevent injuries.

It turns out, though, like so many other unchallenged “truths,” that stretching is not always all it’s cracked up to be. In fact, new research suggests that certain types of stretching before you exercise may actually be counterproductive.

Reasons to Give Up Your Pre-Workout Static Stretch

According to a recent study published in The Journal of Strength and Conditioning Research,1 engaging in passive static stretching prior to lifting weights could make you feel weaker and less stable during your workout.

The researchers concluded that such stretching should be avoided prior to strength training, noting that the passive stretches may have impaired strength because of joint instability.

A second study, a meta-analysis of over 100 studies, likewise revealed that pre-exercise static stretching generally hurts rather than helps your athletic performance. Researchers noted:2

“ … the usage of SS [static stretching] as the sole activity during warm-up routine should generally be avoided.”

Static stretching, they revealed:
•Reduces muscle strength by nearly 5.5% (and more when a stretch is held for 90 seconds or more)
•Cuts muscle power by 2%
•Reduces explosive muscular performance by nearly 3%

American College of Sports Medicine Now Advises Against Static Stretching

Static stretching is when you hold your muscle in a fixed position for a prolonged period, such as 60 seconds or more. This technique has been regarded as the gold standard for decades, but now research shows that it actually decreases the blood flow within your tissue creating localized ischemia (a restriction in blood supply) and lactic acid buildup. This can potentially cause irritation or injury of local muscular, tendinous, lymphatic, and neural tissues.

In short, static stretching may damage your muscles and tendons, which may be why studies show it worsens muscle performance, particularly when the stretch is held for 60 seconds or more.3

The evidence is so clear that the American College of Sports Medicine now advises against this form of stretching prior to your workouts. But this isn’t to say that all forms of stretching should be avoided.

Dynamic ‘Active’ Stretching Improves Performance

While static stretching is now going by the wayside, dynamic stretching, an active type of stretching such as walking lunges, squats or arm circles, is coming in to take its place. Dynamic stretching has been shown to positively influence power, speed, agility, endurance, flexibility, and strength performance when used as a warm-up.4

My favorite type of dynamic stretching is active isolated stretches developed by Aaron Mattes. With Active Isolated Stretching or AIS, you hold each stretch for only two seconds, which works with your body’s natural physiological makeup to improve circulation and increase the elasticity of muscle joints. This technique also allows your body to help repair itself and prepare for daily activity.

AIS is a protocol of specialized repetitive stretches, performed in a specific order targeting myofascial (muscle and connective tissue) injury and restriction. AIS allows for the elongation of muscle and fascial tissue without eliciting your body’s protective mechanisms that would inhibit safe, effective stretching and overall flexibility.

I now do a daily stretching routine that stretches my neck, shoulders, legs and toes for about 45 minutes every day. I typically multitask and do the upper body stretches while I am listening to video or audio programs on the Web. I do the neck stretches while I am working on my computer, and the leg and toe stretches while I am in bed — so it’s very possible to work this routine into even the busiest schedules.

What Exactly is Active Isolated Stretching?

Active isolated stretching can be used for warming up for exercise, training and most importantly to rehab from your injuries. This is key, as nearly everyone I know gets injured while exercising at some point or another. After injury or even after prolonged periods of inactivity your muscles and joints lose flexibility, range of motion (ROM), strength and general stamina.

I had a serious hamstring tear when I first started doing Peak Fitness exercises; I was sprinting outside and injured my left hamstring. More precisely it was the adductor magnus right where it inserted on the sit bone or the ischial tuberosity. I played around with it for a few years but after consistent AIS stretching I have finally been able to resolve it.

Tips for Performing Active Isolated Stretching

The process begins with the identification of the specific muscles and tissues to be stretched. Sometimes this is obvious but typically it requires the assistance of a trained therapist to help identify which muscles and exercises are to be used in your treatment program. Next, you use very gentle pressure and hold each stretch for only two seconds. You have to be careful not to use too much pressure so as not to engage the Golgi tendon and myotatic stretch, which act as safety mechanisms that if engaged will prevent the stretch from working. The keys to using AIS effectively include:
•Move the joint as far as you can in the direction of the stretch. This is the active part of the exercise, which activates the antagonistic muscles that inhibit the stretch. Many fail to do this and only passively stretch the muscle — and that simply will not work. It is the most common mistake people make when doing AIS.
•Stretch the muscle gradually with a gentle stretch of less than one pound of pressure toward the end point of ROM, and then hold it for two seconds.
•Do not push through the stretch; instead do multiple stretches and with each stretch you get more ROM.
•Usually you do sets of 10 reps.
•To actually engage the stretch you can use a therapist or you can do regular home stretching exercises.

It is important to always return the area being stretched to the starting position before continuing the next repetition, as this will allow the tissue to receive blood that carries oxygen and nutrients through the movement of your lymphatic fluid, and it will also allow waste products generated during the stretch to be removed.

It is also important to monitor the stretch reflex carefully, as your tissue is stretched to the point of light irritation.

Then after two seconds release the tension to prevent reverse contractions of the tissues being stretched. You also want to make sure you are breathing properly by exhaling during the stretch, as this will oxygenate your tissue and fascia.

The Power Plate: Another Novel Form of Flexibility Training

If you’re looking for something unique to replace your static stretches, one of the programs I use several times a week is the Power Plate, which I have discussed before. The Power Plate works by vibrating in three dimensions, or three planes:
•Vertical
•Horizontal
•Sagittal (front to back)

The Power Plate moves very quickly (25 to 50 times per second) across very small distances (one to two millimeters), so you aren’t knocked off balance, but just enough so that your muscles must accommodate. When you stand on the vibrating Power Plate, or perform simple exercises on it, each muscle in your body reacts in a continuous flow of micro-adjustments, contracting reflexively. Just like when your leg automatically jerks after your physician taps it with his reflex hammer, your muscles react automatically to the Power Plate’s vibrations – 25 to 50 times per second.

Stimulating your muscles and nerves this way results in more work being done by your body in a shorter period of time – with far greater recruitment of your muscle fibers. When the Power Plate vibrates up and down, your muscle tone improves. Left to right and front to back movements improve your balance and coordination, so the net result is a dramatic improvement in strength and power, flexibility, balance, tone and leanness.

It is really a very powerful way to rapidly improve flexibility for your legs, although it may not work as well for your neck and shoulders. The key to remember is that the old-fashioned advice to perform static stretches prior to exercise is now outdated. You’ll be far better off using a dynamic stretching program, such as AIS, the Power Plate or another form of active stretching, instead.

Deadly antibiotic-resistant bugs..

Five ways to protect yourself from deadly antibiotic-resistant bugs

The unsettling news about antibiotic-resistant super-bacteria is gaining attention, as reports of outbreaks continue to surface in hospitals and other health care facilities across the nation. Carbapenem-Resistant Enterobacteriaceae (CRE) appears to prey on the those with compromised immune systems, which is why it seems prone to take up residence in places like hospitals, where the sick presumably go to recover and feel better.

Instead of healing, however, and in addition to the many already questionable medications they receive while there, patients now also run the risk of exposure to the CRE bacteria and the potentially fatal infection that may follow — a condition for which conventional medicine is, by its own admission, incapable of treating. The bacteria is so named for its impressive tolerance of carbapenem antibiotics, drugs which are considered by doctors to be the very last line of defense. But as a defense against CRE, those drugs remain ineffective. As a result, people are dying. With a current mortality rate of 40 percent (meaning it kills that many of those who become infected), concern over CRE has swelled far beyond that of other less deadly, but similarly antibiotic-resistant infections like MRSA.

Furthermore, with no likely effective candidate among antibiotics currently in development and no real financial incentive for pharmaceutical companies to develop one (there is more money to be made in the assisted perpetuation of chronic illness than in any one-time treatment, after all), the situation begins to look rather bleak. It is with that in mind that Natural News reminds its readers that a healthy immune system is always the best defense against any threat of illness. To accomplish this in a meaningful way, one must strengthen the entire body and not just one piece of it, so that it has the energy to heal and protect itself. With this holistic approach in mind, consider the following best practices to boost your immune system, help protect yourself from initial exposure, and give yourself a fighting chance against harmful invaders:

1. Reduce your exposure to harmful microorganisms
Whenever possible, do what you can to avoid giving CRE the home advantage. This means that keeping clear of hospitals and nursing homes (CRE’s preferred stomping grounds) is a very good start. Of course, accidents can happen, hospital trips are sometimes necessary and visits to loved ones are to be expected during the holiday season. So if you must go, do what you can to give yourself a fighting chance against possible attack (see steps 2-5). Staying out of harm’s way also means avoiding the use of antibiotics, since they tend to indiscriminately kill bacteria in the body, including the friendly bacteria necessary both for proper digestion and for keeping other internal bacteria and micro-organisms in check, making you more vulnerable to harmful invaders. For this reason, antibiotics are most often detrimental to the immune system and are best avoided unless the situation is life-threatening.

2. Embrace a diet rich in nutrients and minerals
One thing most health-minded folks agree on is that eating lots of fresh, organic vegetables rich in essential nutrients, vitamins and minerals is simply one of the best habits a person can have. And because they spend more time in the ground, root vegetables are a particularly good source of minerals, which are critical for cell permeability (which allows the body to make use of such nutrients) and yet alarmingly absent from most people’s diets, thanks in part to soil depletion. For this reason, eating more of these and other vegetables can help to boost the body’s overall nutrient uptake, contributing to a healthier body and a stronger immune system. For maximum benefit, however, you’ll want to simultaneously abandon the consumption of any processed, refined or junk foods, as they will only impede the progress you might otherwise make. Put simply, when your body must spend extra energy on normal everyday functioning, that means less energy is available for the strengthening of your immune system. Remember, the body’s first priority is survival, and many people are undernourished enough to lack the energy required for any meaningful healing. In time, though, a healthy diet can assist the body in a natural detoxification process, allowing it to dump heavy metals and other accumulated toxins, eventually healing current chronic infections and also reducing vulnerability to new ones.

3. Take naturally potent antibacterial supplements
The addition of powerful probiotics and nutritional supplements to an already healthful diet can be of great benefit to restoring the body and building up the immune system. Look for those with natural antibacterial and other well known healing properties, like colloidal silver, garlic, oregano, bee propolis, cinnamon, ginger root, turmeric, or seek out high quality extracts from foods rich in antioxidants (such as acai, blueberry, pomegranate and cranberry). Be sure to check recommended dosage and appropriate uses for whichever probiotics and supplements you choose.

4. Rest well and reduce stress
An adequately rested body is a healthier body. Sleep allows the body to enter the healing (parasympathetic) state, where it can best work to rebuild energy, detoxify naturally and protect against illness. In our stressful culture and times, many people can remain in the fight-or-flight (sympathetic) state for longer than is healthy for the human animal, contributing to the exhaustion of certain vital glands and organs. Because chronic and acute stress are a major contributing factor to disease and illness, a reduction of stress levels can help the body to be better prepared for future challenges to the immune system. At least 8 to 10 hours of sleep is recommended per night, and at least 12 hours per night for those who are currently ill.

5. Get regular, moderate exercise
A workout routine that’s too rigorous may actually do more harm than good, by perpetuating that sympathetic-dominant nervous state. For this reason, moderate to light exercise can be of greatest benefit during times of healing repair. Remember, too, to drink plenty of pure, clean water as well — not only to stay hydrated, but to help flush out toxins.

$4 billion a year of taxpayer money..

Posted by: admin  /  Category: Uncategorized

Soda companies rake in $4 billion a year of taxpayer money via the government food stamp program (SNAP)

Sugary sodas and aspartame-laced diet sodas can all be purchased with taxpayer money via the federal food stamp program. It’s called the “Supplemental Nutritional Assistance Program” (SNAP), and it provides free food credits to 42 million Americans who use the credits to purchase junk food, birthday cakes, sodas and more.

As a result, U.S. taxpayers are subsidizing the soda industry to the tune of $4 billion a year while low-income food stamp recipients drink themselves into chronic diabetes and obesity.

What could possibly be wrong with such a program?

Food stamps routinely used to buy soft drinks, candy, cookies and ice cream
Far from what most people believe, the federal food stamp program (SNAP) isn’t a program to provide nourishment to people of low income. It’s actually a program engineered to keep the masses sick and diseased while pumping tens of billions of dollars each year into the processed food industry run by powerful corporations like Coca-Cola, Pepsi and Kraft.

The USDA SNAP website admits, “Soft drinks, candy, cookies, snack crackers, and ice cream are food items” and are therefore eligible for purchase using food stamps.

(Soft drinks are FOOD? Somebody at the USDA needs to wake up and smell the processed coffee…)

This means the U.S. government is subsidizing the aspartame industry as well. All the poisons that are put into these foods — sodium nitrite, MSG, petrochemical food colorings — are all being subsidized with your tax dollars.

Meanwhile, in order to block nutrition, the USDA program specifically forbids the use of food stamps to purchase vitamins. So while taxpayer money can be used to load up on Diet Coke, not a dime can be used to protect health with something like vitamin C. How’s that for making sure people stay sick?

Food stamps used to buy lobster and steaks, too
It’s not just junk foods that food stamp recipients can purchase with taxpayer dollars, either: it’s also luxury food items like lobster, shrimp and steaks. Once again, the USDA openly admits this, saying, “Seafood, steak, and bakery cakes are also food items and are therefore eligible items.”

According to the USDA, “energy drinks” are also food and may therefore be purchased using food stamps. Birthday cakes are also considered “food” and are therefore eligible as well.

“Soda makers bag an estimated $4 billion a year in taxpayer money through the food stamp program,” reports Breitbart.com. “Efforts to kill the so-called “soda subsidy” have been met with fierce resistance and lobbying by the soda industry.”

The real purpose of the food stamp program is to keep Americans sick and dependent
Far from helping “poor, starving people” gain access to nourishment, the federal food stamp program is nothing more than a taxpayer subsidy to junk food and soda companies who are making the population sick and diseased.

When people consume these foods, they become riddled with diabetes, cancer and heart disease. This makes them easy prey for pharmaceutical companies who also operate on government subsidies (Medicare, Medicaid, Obamacare) to bilk taxpayers for billions more in ill-gotten gains.

This is what happens when you let the government run the food system and the health care system: You get nothing but crony capitalism masquerading as welfare. Certain corporations that have the lobbying power to influence Congress become the recipients of all the cash these programs are stealing from taxpayers. The original idea of all this — to have compassion and help prevent people from starving — has been utterly abandoned. Now, the SNAP program is nothing more than a national ANTI-nutrition program that keeps people sick while enriching wealthy junk food corporations.

A better solution: Limit food stamps to non-processed foods
An obvious solution to all this would be to limit the use of food stamps to only “non-processed” food items such as fresh fruits and vegetables, bulk bags of rice and beans, fresh meats and so on.

After all, if you really have compassion for people who are starving — which is largely a myth anyway, as the majority of the people on food stamps are obese — then why wouldn’t you want to help them with healthy foods?

Only in America are we so socially insane that we give out free credits for overweight people to purchase processed junk food that causes cancer, diabetes, obesity and heart disease. Then we wonder why our health care system is such a failure…

Remember: Obamacare is a subsidy to Big Pharma and the health insurance companies; food stamps are a subsidy to junk food and soda manufacturers.

Documentary: Trashed…

Posted by: Stef605  /  Category: Uncategorized

When you pull your garbage can to the curb on garbage day, do you give much thought to what happens to it once it’s collected? Many take for granted the fact that their garbage “magically” disappears… but the disappearance is only an act.

Most garbage does not disappear; instead it is simply relocated to a landfill, a recycling center or perhaps makes its way down a storm drain and into a nearby ocean.

In Trashed, a 20-minute documentary, you can take “an existential road trip through the quixotic American waste stream,”1 and get an idea of what our throwaway society is truly costing the planet…

4.5 Pounds of Garbage a Day for Every American

This is the estimated waste thrown out by an average American, each and every day. In all this amounted to about 250 million tons of trash in the United States in 2010 alone.2 Trashed follows that waste from your garbage can to transfer stations and ultimately to incinerators or landfills that are quickly reaching their maximum limits.

There are problems with both waste disposal options, however:
•Incinerators: Emit toxic dioxins, mercury, cadmium and other particulate matter into the air, and convert waste into toxic ash (which is sometimes used to cover landfills).
•Landfills: There are more than 3,000 active landfills, and 10,000 old landfills, in the United States.3 While the number of landfills in the U.S. has been decreasing in recent decades, they have, individually, been increasing in size.

Along with being a major source of greenhouse gas emissions, like methane, they produce “leachate,” a toxic fluid composed of pollutants like benzene, pesticides, heavy metals, endocrine-disrupting chemicals and more, which come from the compressed trash.

Although landfills are technically supposed to keep garbage dry and are lined to prevent leachate from contaminating nearby soil and groundwater, the landfill liners are virtually guaranteed to degrade, tear, or crack eventually, allowing the toxins to escape directly into the environment.

In fact, women who live within two miles of a hazardous waste landfill are 33 percent more likely to have children with serious birth defects.4 Further, one study that tested the leachate from 58 landfills found cancer-causing chemicals in all of them, and noted that:5

“…the estimated carcinogenic potency for the leachate from some municipal landfills may be similar to the carcinogenic potency for the leachate from the Love Canal landfill [one of the worst hazardous waste landfill sites in history].”

Plastic Particles Pose Serious Risks to Oceans, Marine Life and Seabirds

Trashed takes viewers to U.S. coasts, where volunteers are picking up plastic waste that has washed up on the beaches. Some seabirds mistake brightly colored plastic lighters, toothbrushes and toys for food, consuming them or feeding them to their young, who end up dying. Loggerhead sea turtles often mistake plastic bags for jellyfish, their favorite food. And the effects are disastrous, including internal blockages, dehydration, starvation, and potentially death.

Albatrosses are frequently found strangled by the plastic rings that hold six-packs of soda together. Other creatures meet a painful end by getting tangled up in plastic netting.

Plastic particles are like “sponges” for waterborne contaminants such as PCBs, pesticides like DDT, herbicides, PAHs, and other persistent organic pollutants. This phenomenon makes plastics far from benign, and scientists have yet to determine the full extent of the dangers posed by their consumption or the effects higher up the food chain.

While approximately 50 percent of plastic waste goes to landfills (where it will sit for hundreds of years due to limited oxygen and lack of microorganisms to break it down) the remaining 45 plus percent “disappears” into the environment where it ultimately washes out to sea, damaging marine ecosystems and entering the food chain.

The Biggest Landfills May Now Exist in the Oceans…

One of the biggest environmental assaults is the massive accumulation of plastic trash in each of the world’s five major oceanic gyres. Gyres are large, slowly rotating oceanic whirlpools, driven by global winds and ocean currents.6 Garbage and debris is funneled into the center of these gyres, in a kind of toilet bowl effect or vortex.

One of these gyres, the North Pacific Gyre, is in the middle of the Pacific Ocean about a thousand miles from the Western coast. In its midst is a huge mass of trash (90 percent plastics), which floats in a soup of smaller pieces that have been broken apart by wave action.

Some call it the “Great Pacific Garbage Patch” and others the “Pacific Trash Vortex,” but regardless of its name, it’s the largest “landfill” in the world. In it you will find everything from plastic netting to bottles and bags and buckets, paint rollers, hula-hoops and medical equipment. Most of the garbage patch, however, is not made up of large items but rather microplastics you can’t see with the naked eye, forming a sort of plastic soup where pure seawater used to be. Filter-feeding marine animals ingest these plastic particles, and the toxins they contain, and subsequently pass them up through the food chain, and eventually to humans…

A Throwaway Society May be Throwing Away the Future

The sheer amount of waste that is generated needlessly on any given day is quite mind-boggling. For instance, according to the Clean Air Council:7
•The average American office worker uses about 500 disposable cups every year.
•Every year, Americans throw away enough paper and plastic cups, forks, and spoons to circle the equator 300 times.
•The estimated 2.6 billion holiday cards sold each year in the U.S. could fill a football field 10 stories high.
•Between Thanksgiving and New Year’s, an extra million tons of waste is generated each week.
•38,000 miles of ribbon are thrown away each year, enough to tie a bow around the Earth.

Your parents and grandparents likely used products in reusable, recyclable or degradable containers made from glass, metals and paper. But today, discarded plastics and other waste are circling the globe at a significant human and environmental cost.

It’s a problem of convenience – choosing a plastic disposable water bottle instead of using a reusable glass container, for instance – as well as one of overconsumption. Even durable items like electronics, toys, and clothes are often regarded as “throwaway” products that we use for a short period and quickly replace – often without recycling, donating or re-using them for another purpose.

Of course, you are living in a society that makes you feel behind if you do not buy the latest model of this or that, or update your wardrobe with the latest fashions. We’re also increasingly living on the go, where food in throwaway packages is by far the rule rather than the exception. Contrast that to a couple of generations ago when frugality and resourcefulness were highly valued, and food came fresh from the farm, butcher shop or baker, and you begin to see where the real problems with excess waste are springing from.

Cutting Down on Waste: It’s Your Responsibility

As the Trashed documentary pointed out, it’s going to take global efforts to change the way trash is being generated and disposed of, but every individual can play a part in that change. You can do your part by taking the following action steps that reduce your plastic consumption and generation of waste, which will benefit your health as well as the environment.
•Reduce your plastic use: If at all possible seek to purchase products that are not made from or packaged in plastic. Here are a few ideas… Use reusable shopping bags for groceries. Bring your own mug for coffee and bring drinking water from home in glass water bottles, instead of buying bottled water. Store foods in the freezer in glass mason jars as opposed to plastic bags. Take your own leftovers container to restaurants. Request no plastic wrap on your newspaper and dry cleaning. Avoid disposable utensils and buy foods in bulk when you can. These are just a few ideas — I’m sure you can think of more.
•Recycle/Repurpose what you can: Take care to recycle and repurpose products whenever possible, especially ones that are not available in anything other than plastic. This includes giving your clothes or gently used household items to charities, and frequenting second-hand stores instead of buying new. Make use of online sites like Freecycle.org that allow you to give products you no longer need away to others instead of throwing them away.
•Choose reusable over single-use: This includes non-disposable razors, washable feminine hygiene products for women, cloth diapers, glass bottles for your milk, cloth grocery bags, handkerchiefs instead of paper tissues, an old t-shirt or rags in lieu of paper towels, and so on.
•Compost your food scraps and yard waste: A simple bin in your backyard can greatly cut down on your landfill contributions while rewarding you with a natural fertilizer for your soil.
•Support legislation: Support legislative efforts to manage waste in your community; take a leadership role with your company, school, and neighborhood.
•Be Innovative: If you have a great idea, share it! Your capacity to come up with smarter designs and creative ideas is limitless, and many heads are better than one. Innovations move us toward a more sustainable world.
•Assist Recovery: Return deposits on bottles and other plastic products, and participate in “plastic drives” for local schools, where cash is paid by the pound.

Obama betrays America yet again..

Posted by: Stef605  /  Category: Uncategorized

Obama betrays America yet again by signing the ‘Monsanto Protection Act’ into law President Barack Obama campaigned on promises to end secret prisons, decriminalize marijuana, balance the budget, honor the Second Amendment and make health care affordable. But what really unfolded was an explosion in the national debt (now $16 trillion and climbing), the signing of the NDAA, a claimed new power to kill any American at any time, even on U.S. soil, the use of military drones to murder American children overseas, a full-on assault against the Bill of Rights, a doubling of health insurance rates and the destruction of the U.S. economy. But that’s not all. Now Obama has signed the “Monsanto Protection Act” into law, stabbing America in the heart yet again and proving that no matter how convincing politicians appear on the campaign trail, they are still sociopathic liars in the end. The Monsanto Protection Act, part of the HR 933 continuing resolution, allows Monsanto to override U.S. federal courts on the issue of planting experimental genetically engineered crops all across the country. Even if those experimental crops are found to be extremely dangerous or to cause a runaway crop plague, the U.S. government now has no judicial power to stop them from being planted and harvested. As ibtimes.com reports, the bill “effectively bars federal courts from being able to halt the sale or planting of GMO or GE crops and seeds, no matter what health consequences from the consumption of these products may come to light in the future.” GMOs now evade all regulations: America has become a grand Monsanto experiment A Food Democracy Now petition now states: With the Senate passage of the Monsanto Protection Act, biotech lobbyists are one step closer to making sure that their new GMO crops can evade any serious scientific or regulatory review. This dangerous provision, the Monsanto Protection Act, strips judges of their constitutional mandate to protect consumer and farmer rights and the environment, while opening up the floodgates for the planting of new untested genetically engineered crops, endangering farmers, citizens and the environment. Corporate-government conspiracy is fascism This new law forces the USDA to automatically approve all GMO planting permits sought by Monsanto and other biotech firms, effectively granting Monsanto dominion over the U.S. government. This is the very definition of fascism, a form of tyrannical government where corporations conspire with the government to destroy or confiscate all rights, powers and assets, leaving the people impoverished and powerless. What’s interesting about this development is that now even democrats are starting to wake up and see how evil Obama really is. As ibtimes reports: “In this hidden backroom deal, Sen. Mikulski turned her back on consumer, environmental and farmer protection in favor of corporate welfare for biotech companies such as Monsanto,” Andrew Kimbrell, executive director of the Center for Food Safety, said in a statement. “This abuse of power is not the kind of leadership the public has come to expect from Sen. Mikulski or the Democrat Majority in the Senate.” Of course, for those of us who have been paying attention and warning everyone else about the dangerous power grab taking place under the Obama regime, this is exactly the kind of behavior we expected to see. The Senate has abandoned law. It has abandoned the Constitution, the rights of the People and even due process. We are now living under a corporate fascist tyranny where companies like Monsanto, General Electric and GlaxoSmithKline control the government and dictate policy. They literally write the laws. This Monsanto Protect Act, says the Center for Food Safety, is “an unprecedented attack on U.S. judicial review of agency actions” and “a major violation of the separation of powers.” (SOURCE) But that’s what Obama has always been about. He’s the president who seized control of all farms, food and livestock across America. He’s the guy who claims the power the decide who to assassinate anywhere in America. His administration has routinely conspired with Monsanto to endanger the American people and turn America’s croplands into a grand, dangerous genetics experiment. “Pandora’s Box is unlocked, Obama just propped open the lid, and there’s no way to cram the evil back in,” wrote The Daily Sheeple. “I’m personally pledging at least one article per week about Monsanto, their incestuous relationship with the government, and their toxic grip on agriculture. I urge everyone to raise a deafening public outcry — every voice adds to the noise that we can create.” Who is to blame? Senators Barbara Mikulski and Roy Blunt, among others The chair of the committee that secretly slipped this provision into the bill was Sen. Barbara Mikulski, an absolute traitor to America for allowing the Monsanto Protection Act to become law. She could have stopped it, yet she did nothing to oppose it. She actually helped sneak it into law. Like nearly all U.S. senators, Mikulski is now operating as an outright enemy of the People while selling out to corporate interests who are peddling poison and death. There is hardly a U.S. senator remaining who respects his or her oath of office. While Senators Rand Paul and Ted Cruz are showing real courage in the face of federal tyranny and oppression — and Sen. Ron Wyden honestly tries to protect the people of Oregon from outrageous federal aggression — most senators are now little more than corporate puppets who obey the bidding of their masters. Sickeningly, Sen. Mikulski recently praised the creation of a Harriet Tubman memorial, honoring the courage of a woman who stood against tyranny and defended the people by creating the Underground Railroad. Yet Mikulski herself does the exact opposite, selling out to Monsanto and betraying people of all races by overseeing the passage of what is essentially a “judicial nullification power” now granted to a dangerous and truly evil corporation. Her actions in this matter were anti-trade, anti-America, anti-human and anti-justice. Harriet Tubman, a true American hero, would absolutely shutter at the thought that a U.S. Senator honoring her memory was simultaneously betraying the people of America by handing over extra-judicial powers to a corporation engaged in widespread genetic pollution and agricultural malfeasance. Harriet Tubman was born a slave and risked her life to lead others to freedom. Sen. Mikulski was born a privileged woman who risked nothing to lead her constituents to corporate slavery. For Mikulski to honor Tubman is an insult to the memory of Tubman and the freedom she stood for. Missouri Sen. Roy Blunt actively conspired with Monsanto to write the provision Mikulski wasn’t the only Monsanto sellout in the U.S. Senate, of course: Missouri senator Roy Blunt was also part of the conspiracy to stab America in the heart and poison our food. According to another article on ibtimes.com: The provision’s language was apparently written in collusion with Monsanto. Lawmakers and companies working together to craft legislation is by no means a rare occurrence in this day and age. But the fact that Sen. Roy Blunt, Republican of Missouri, actually worked with Monsanto on a provision that in effect allows them to keep selling seeds, which can then go on to be planted, even if it is found to be harmful to consumers, is stunning. Who opposed the Monsanto Protection Act? Democratic Senator John Tester. As the NY Daily News reports: Opposing the inclusion of the rider was Sen. John Tester (D-Mont.), who told Politico that the deal worked out with Monsanto was simply bad policy. “These provisions are giveaways, pure and simple, and will be a boon worth millions of dollars to a handful of the biggest corporations in this country,” Tester said. Tester, of course, has been the voice of reason on several fronts in recent years, including the so-called Food Safety and Modernization Act of 2010 which granted the FDA vast new powers to terrorize gardeners and farmers across America. Sen. Tester proposed amendments that attempted to protect the freedoms of American farmers, but his efforts were of course thwarted by the evil corporate conspirators who now fill the U.S. Senate chambers. America is lost… what now? Voted into office by people whose hearts were filled with hope for real change, Obama now reveals himself to be a sinister serpent of deception who betrays the American people at every opportunity. The Obama Deception is the title of the film released by Alex Jones in 2009. At the time, Jones was ridiculed by Obama supporters who said Obama was their savior and anyone who criticized Obama was a racist. Now, four years later, it’s obvious that once again Alex Jones was right about Obama. Even democrats are increasingly realizing this shocking truth as they watch Obama betray the people of America on issues like GMOs, secret prisons, banker bailouts, due process and marijuana. With deceivers like Obama at the helm, America has been turned over to corporate interests, and the rights and liberties of the People have been eviscerated. The U.S. federal government no longer represents the interests of the people. It has become a dominant, dangerous and arrogant machine of oppression and tyranny. It has abandoned law, the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. It has violated the very principles upon which this nation was founded and now plays God with our seeds, our food and our future. These are times of such treachery and betrayal that we cannot even imagine the web of deception being weaved to entrap and destroy truth in America. We the People are being deceived by false media propaganda and told everything is fine while Senators and bureaucrats march us into pits of death while corporate bulldozers stand by to quickly cover up the mass graves. The United States government is at WAR with the American people, and that war is being waged with every poison imaginable: genetic pollution, disinfo propaganda, chemical fluoride poisoning, vaccine lobotomies, chemtrails, psychiatric drugs and twisted mental health initiatives. The battleground for this war is your dinner plate, your tap water, your medicine and your core beliefs. The goal of the war is the complete decimation of all cognitive awareness and the abolition of freedom of thought. Give this a few more years, and the mere utterance of any idea critical of the government will be considered an “act of terrorism” punishable by death. Logic is an enemy and history is a menace

Posted by: admin  /  Category: Uncategorized

The reports are absolutely true. Facebook suspended the Natural News account earlier today after we posted an historical quote from Mohandas Gandhi. The quote reads:

“Among the many misdeeds of British rule in India, history will look upon the Act depriving a whole nation of arms as the blackest.” – Mohandas Gandhi, an Autobiography, page 446.

This historical quote was apparently too much for Facebook’s censors to bear. They suspended our account and gave us a “final warning” that one more violation of their so-called “community guidelines” would result in our account being permanently deactivated.

They then demanded we send them a color copy of a “government issued identification” in order to reactivate our account. Our account was removed from suspension just minutes before InfoWars posted its article on this Facebook censorship, and the Facebook page is now functioning at:
www.Facebook.com/NaturalNews

This is a separate account from our primary Facebook account, which has nearly 250,000 followers at:
www.Facebook.com/HealthRanger

Logic is an enemy and history is a menace
That Facebook would choose to disable our account after we posted a Gandhi quote is incredibly shocking. The historical rise of oppressed Indian people against tyrannical British rule is apparently no longer allowed to be discussed on Facebook. The very IDEA of a free people overcoming tyrannical government rule now “violates community guidelines.” The removal of this content is akin to online book burning and the destruction of history.

This post was not in any way malicious, nor encouraging violence, nor even describing guns or the Second Amendment. It merely reflected the words of one of our world’s most celebrated rebel leaders who helped an entire nation throw off the shackles of oppression and British occupation. That Facebook would find this to “violate community guidelines” is nothing short of absolutely bewildering.

Here is the full image as originally posted on Facebook. Keep in mind that THIS is now considered unacceptable speech across the “Facebook community,” where any number of people can openly call for the murder of the NRA president and have absolutely no action taken against them:

InfoWars.com is also now reporting that Facebook is running an across-the-board PURGE of pro-gun accounts. A huge number of accounts are all being systematically disabled or suspended, with all content being wiped clean.

We have entered the era of the Ministry of Truth from George Orwell’s 1984 novel. And while Facebook assaults the First Amendment in America, Senator Feinstein is busy assaulting the Second.

Facebook declares war on human history
What’s especially alarming about all this is that Gandhi himself was of course a champion of resistance against tyranny. To banish quotes from Gandhi is much like banning quotes of freedom from Martin Luther King (who also openly supported concealed firearms, by the way, and who personally owned an entire “arsenal” of firearms).

What’s next? Will Facebook ban quotes by Thomas Jefferson and George Washington? Any and all patriots, founding fathers and liberty lovers throughout history might soon be stricken from the Facebook servers, and any who dare to post historical quotes supporting liberty, the Bill of Rights, or the Second Amendment risk having their accounts terminated and all content deleted.

Collectivist propaganda has now reached a point where you can’t even discuss liberty or anything out of history that supported the right to keep and bear arms. You are required to stay focused solely on celebrity gossip, sports stars, fashion distractions and tabloid garbage. Anyone who wishes to discuss actual American history must now go underground and speak softly in dimly-lit rooms, behind secret walls and drawn curtains.

The era of total oppression and collectivist mind control has fully arrived in America. This is not hyperbole… IT IS HERE NOW.

Memorize this quote, because it too shall soon be purged from the internet:

Montana Restaurant…

Posted by: admin  /  Category: Uncategorized

Montana Restaurant

The radio station America FM was doing one of its ‘Is Anyone Listening?’ bits this morning. The first question was; ‘Ever have a celebrity come up with the, ‘Do you know who I am?’ routine?’

A woman called in and said that a few years ago, while visiting her cattle rancher uncle in Billings, MT, she had occasion to go to dinner at a restaurant that does not take reservations. The wait was about 45 minutes; many local ranchers and their wives were waiting.

Ted Turner and his ex-wife Jane Fonda came in the restaurant and wanted a table. The hostess informed them that they’d have to wait 45 minutes.

Jane Fonda asked the hostess, ‘Do you know who I am? The hostess answered,’Yes, but you’ll have to wait 45 minutes.’

Then Jane asked if the manager was in. When the manager came out, he asked, ‘May I help you?’.

‘Do you know who we are?’ both Ted and Jane asked.

Yes, but these folks have been waiting, and I can’t put you ahead of them.’

Then Ted asked to speak to the owner. The owner came out, and Jane again asked, ‘Do you know who I am?

The owner answered, ‘Yes, I do. Do you know who I am? I am the owner of this restaurant and I am a Vietnam Veteran. Not only will you not get a table ahead of my friends and neighbors who have been waiting in line, but you also will not be eating in my restaurant tonight or any other night. Good Bye.’

Only in America , is this a great country or what?

To all who received this, this is a true story and the name of the steak house is:

Sir Scott’s Oasis Steakhouse
204 W. Main ,
Manhattan , MT 59741
(406) 284-6929

If you ever get there, give this fellow a sharp salute, buy a steak, and tip the waitress. They have ten steaks on their simple menu from 12 oz. to 32 oz. OH, there toothpicks on every table!
