A favourite of mine….

Anyone that knows me or knows of me will not be surprised to learn that all things coconut are at the top of my list of good healthy foods to eat and use.

I came across a great article by Dr. Joseph Mercola highlighting the beneficial effects and uses of coconut oil, be sure to watch the video as it is packed with so many beneficial ways to use it and not just in cooking but also topical uses that you’ll love…

By Dr. Mercola

Coconut oil has been a dietary and beauty staple for millennia. It’s a powerful destroyer of all kinds of microbes, from viruses to bacteria to protozoa, many of which can be harmful, and provides your body with high-quality fat that is critical for optimal health.

Around 50 percent of the fat in coconut oil is lauric acid, which is rarely found in nature. In fact, coconut oil contains the most lauric acid of any substance on Earth.

Your body converts lauric acid into monolaurin, a monoglyceride that can actually destroy lipid-coated viruses such as HIV and herpes, influenza, measles, gram-negative bacteria, and protozoa such as giardia lamblia.

This is undoubtedly part of what makes it so medicinally useful—both when taken internally and applied externally.

Coconut oil is comprised of medium chain fatty acids (MCFAs) that are easily digested and readily cross cell membranes. MCFAs are immediately converted by your liver into energy rather than being stored as fat. This is in part why I recommend coconut oil as an ideal replacement for non-vegetable carbohydrates.

Coconut oil is easy on your digestive system and does not produce an insulin spike in your bloodstream, so for a quick energy boost, you could simply eat a spoonful of coconut oil, or add it to your food. In the video above, I also share my recipe for a scrumptious yet healthful chocolate treat, courtesy of the healthy fat from coconut oil.

To get more coconut oil into your diet, you can add it to your tea or coffee, in lieu of a sweetener. It will also help improve absorption of fat-soluble vitamins, so taking a spoonful of coconut oil along with your daily vitamins may help boost their effectiveness.

Coconut oil is ideal for all sorts of cooking and baking, as it can withstand higher temperatures without being damaged like many other oils (olive oil, for example, should not be used for cooking for this reason).

Furthermore, coconut oil does not go rancid, which is a huge boon when you’re making homemade concoctions. Coconut oil that has been kept at room temperature for a year has been tested for rancidity, and showed no evidence of it. Since you would expect the small percentage of unsaturated oils naturally contained in coconut oil to become rancid, it seems that the other (saturated) oils have a powerful antioxidant effect.

General Health Benefits of Coconut Oil

In all, coconut oil offers a truly impressive array of health benefits when included in your daily diet. In addition to its antimicrobial properties, coconut oil is beneficial for:

Promoting heart health Supporting proper thyroid function
Promoting healthy brain function Strengthening your immune system
Providing an excellent “fuel” for your body and supporting a strong metabolism that can aid in weight loss Maintaining healthy and youthful looking skin

While coconut oil is an ideal food for fostering health and beauty from the inside out, it also has a staggering number of other uses, from topical beauty applications to first aid treatments, to general household cleaning.12 Once you’re done reading through this article, you’ll probably be inspired to stock up for all eventualities!

Coconut Oil Can Replace Dozens of Beauty and Personal Care Products

Total Video Length: 0:11:33

One of the best personal care products you’ll ever find may be sitting in your kitchen cupboard right now. The video above, featuring HolisticHabits3 blogger and coconut oil aficionado Sarah, recounts many of its beauty uses. The second video includes a recipe making your own coconut oil-based deodorant. A previous article by Delicious Obsessions4 also lists no less than 122 creative uses for this household staple, including 21 DIY coconut oil skin care recipes.5 For example, coconut oil can be used to replace the following personal care and beauty products.

Makeup remover: Swipe on with a moist cotton ball. Wipe off with clean cotton ball or wet washcloth.
Facial cleanser: Massage a dollop of coconut oil onto face and neck. Wash off with wet washcloth and pat dry.
Body scrub: Mix equal parts coconut oil with organic cane sugar in a glass jar. Use the scrub on dry skin prior to your shower or bath.
Facial scrub: Instead of sugar, mix coconut oil with baking soda, or oatmeal with a dash of cinnamon, for a gentle facial scrub.
Shaving lotion: Apply a thin layer of coconut oil on area to be shaved, and shave as usual. The lauric acid in the coconut oil will also serve as an antiseptic for cuts that result from shaving.
Face and body moisturizer: You can use it either by itself, or add your favorite essential oil. (Make sure you’re using a high quality essential oil that is safe for topical application.) The featured article6 also suggests whipping the coconut oil with an electric mixer to produce a fluffy moisturizer that stays soft and spreadable even in cooler temperatures. When applied topically, coconut oil helps to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles by helping to keep your connective tissues strong and supple, and aids in exfoliating the outer layer of dead skin cells, making your skin smoother.
Eye cream: Apply a thin layer of coconut oil around your eyes to soften wrinkles and counteract thinning, sagging skin.
Cuticle cream: Simply rub a small amount of coconut oil around your cuticles to soften dry areas.
Deodorant: Applying a small amount of coconut oil directly onto your armpits can help keep odors at bay, courtesy of the oil’s antibacterial properties. If you prefer, you can add a small amount of baking soda, or make a homemade deodorant using coconut oil, baking soda and arrow root powder. For directions, see the second video above. DeliciousObsessions.com also lists additional deodorant recipes using coconut oil as the base.7
Bath soak: Adding coconut oil to your bath can help moisturize dry itchy skin (Make sure to scrub your tub afterward to prevent slipping!). Make sure the water is warmer than 76 degrees Fahrenheit though, otherwise the oil will turn to a solid.
Soap: Coconut oil is one of the base ingredients in many homemade soap recipes, such as this one by NourishingJoy.com8
Lip balm: You can either apply a small amount of coconut oil, as is, or make your own lip balm using coconut oil as one of the base ingredients. You can find all sorts of recipes online, but here’s one by The Liberated Kitchen.9
Toothpaste: Mixed with baking soda, coconut oil can replace your regular toothpaste. The baking soda will gently cleanse while the coconut oil’s antibacterial action may help keep harmful bacteria in check. For recipes using essential oils to spruce up your toothpaste, see DeliciousObsessions.com.10
Insect repellent: Mixing coconut oil with high-quality essential oils may help keep biting insects at bay when applied to exposed skin. Effective choices include: peppermint, lemon balm, rosemary, tea tree oil, neem, citronella (Java Citronella), geraniol, catnip oil (according to one study,11 catnip oil is 10 times more effective than DEET), and/or clear vanilla extract

Hair’s Best Friend

Coconut oil is also known for its hair benefits.12 Most women seem to prefer using it as a pre-shampoo conditioner. Simply massage the coconut oil onto dry hair and leave on for about an hour or longer. You could even leave it on overnight. Just wear a shower cap to protect your pillow. Then, wash and style as usual.

When applied in this manner, the coconut oil inhibits the penetration of water into the hair strands, which would otherwise cause the cuticle, or surface of the hair shaft, to rise, making it prone to damage and breakage. Furthermore, when applied as a pre-wash treatment, a small amount of the coconut oil is able to penetrate deeper into the hair shaft during the wash, when the hair fiber swells slightly.

This can also explain why so many rave about the oil’s ability to prevent “the frizzies” in humid weather—this is another feature of its hydrophobic activity. More porous types of hair may find coconut oil particularly beneficial, such as African and chemically treated hair, as well as those suffering with any type of scalp problems, including dandruff.

Oral Health Benefits

As mentioned above, coconut oil mixed with baking soda makes for very simple and inexpensive, yet effective, toothpaste. It’s also a great alternative if you want a fluoride-free toothpaste but don’t want to spend the extra money, since they tend to cost more than most regular, fluoridated toothpaste brands.

Another oral health technique where I believe coconut oil can be quite beneficial is oil pulling. This technique has significantly reduced my plaque buildup, allowing me to go longer between visits to the dental hygienist. (Adding fermented vegetables to my diet has been another game-changer in my oral health.)

Oil pulling is a practice dating back thousands of years, having originated with Ayurvedic medicine. When oil pulling is combined with the antimicrobial power of coconut oil, I believe it can be a very powerful health tool. Sesame oil is traditionally recommended, but it has relatively high concentration of omega-6 oils. Therefore, I believe coconut oil is far superior, and, in my mind, it tastes better. But from a mechanical and biophysical perspective, it is likely that both work.

Oil pulling involves rinsing your mouth with the oil, much like you would with a mouthwash. The oil is “worked” around your mouth by pushing, pulling, and drawing it through your teeth for a period of 15 minutes. If you are obsessive like me and want even better results, you can go for 30-45 minutes. This process allows the oil to “pull out” bacteria, viruses, fungi and other debris. The best time is in the morning before eating breakfast, but it can be done at any time. I try to do it twice a day if my schedule allows. When done, spit out the oil and rinse your mouth with water. Avoid swallowing the oil as it will be loaded with bacteria and whatever potential toxins and debris it has pulled out.

When done correctly, oil pulling has a significant cleansing, detoxifying and healing affect, not only for your mouth and sinuses but for the rest of your body as well. Candida and Streptococcus are common residents in your mouth, and these germs and their toxic waste products can contribute to plaque accumulation and tooth decay, in addition to secondary infections and chronic inflammation throughout your body. Oil pulling may help lessen the overall toxic burden on your immune system by preventing the spread of these organisms from your mouth to the rest of your body, by way of your bloodstream.

Coconut Oil to the Rescue

Besides its usefulness in the kitchen and bathroom, coconut oil deserves a place in your medicine cabinet as well—again courtesy of its antimicrobial and anti-viral activity. For example, coconut oil may be helpful in the treatment of:

Ear infections: Place a couple of drops into each ear canal. If the coconut oil has solidified, you can easily liquefy it by placing a small amount in a shot glass or other small container and placing it into a cup of hot water Skin rashes and irritations, including chicken pox and shingles: Simply apply a small amount to the affected area
Fungal and/or yeast infections, such as athlete’s foot and ringworm. For fungal infections, you can mix in a small amount of oregano oil or tea tree oil Bug bites and bee stings
Cold sores: mix in a small amount of oregano oil, and apply at the first signs Frequent nosebleeds may be improved by regularly applying a small amount to the inside of your nostrils
Thrush Hemorrhoids and piles: You may add a small amount of lavender essential oil for added healing power
Vaginal dryness Perineal massage:13 Expectant mothers can use it to massage the perineum daily, starting about a month or so before your due date, to help reduce your chances of tearing and/or the need for an episiotomy

Coconut Oil—More Effective Than Permethrin for Head Lice

According to research published in the European Journal of Pediatrics,14 a combination of coconut oil and anise was found to be nearly twice as effective as the commonly prescribed permethrin lotion for the treatment of head lice. According to the authors:

“We designed a randomized, controlled, parallel group trial involving 100 participants with active head louse infestation to investigate the activity of a coconut and anise spray and to see whether permethrin lotion is still effective, using two applications of product 9 days apart. The spray was significantly more successful (41/50, 82.0%) cures compared with permethrin (21/50, 42.0%…). Per-protocol success was 83.3% and 44.7%, respectively. Thirty-three people reported irritant reactions following alcohol contact with excoriated skin. We concluded that, although permethrin lotion is still effective for some people, the coconut and anise spray can be a significantly more effective alternative treatment.”[Emphasis mine]

Isn’t it wonderful to see how nature provides us with so many effective solutions to so many of our ills? And does so in a way that is oftentimes more effective than our chemical drug concoctions! Another anecdotal Hawaiian head lice treatment15 is to first soak your hair in vinegar and leave it in to dry (don’t rinse). Next, coat your hair with coconut oil over night. I’d recommend sleeping with a shower cap to protect your bedding. The following day, the nits reportedly comb out easily.

14 Surprising Uses for Coconut Oil Around the House

Last but not least, coconut oil can be used for a number of household tasks otherwise relegated to more costly, and potentially toxic, alternatives. Following are 14 creative yet practical uses for this fantastic oil:

1. Clean, condition and sanitize your wooden cutting board. Use whenever the wood starts to look dry.
2. Use when making compost tea16 for your garden to reduce foam.
3. Use as a metal polish. Make sure to test a small area first.
4. Moisturize and soften leather goods as you would using other leather conditioners.
5. Season your cast iron pots and pans17 using coconut oil in lieu of lard or corn oil.

Excess sugar causes obesity…

Posted by: admin  /  Category: Health

America spends two and a half times more on healthcare per capita than any other developed nation, quickly approaching $3 trillion EVERY year. With this kind of expenditure, you would expect our citizens to be the healthiest in the world, but this is not the case.

In fact, the US ranks dead last in quality of care—Americans are sicker and live shorter lives than people in most other industrialized nations. So where’s the money going?

The Credit Suisse Research Institute’s 2013 study1 “Sugar: Consumption at a Crossroads” found that 30 to 40 percent of US healthcare expenditures are for diseases directly related to the overconsumption of sugar!

We spend more than a trillion dollars each year fighting the damaging health effects of sugar. This, combined with the massive waste, fraud, and inefficiency of our healthcare system, make it completely unsustainable over time.

US Government Actually Encourages Sugar Consumption

Excess sugar causes obesity as well as a plethora of illnesses, including type 2 diabetes, heart disease, kidney disease and cancer. If you want to locate the sickest people, follow obesity rates. According to a United Health Foundation study, nine of the 10 least healthy states in the nation also have nine of the 10 worst obesity rates.2

With one food causing such pervasive health problems and so much national expense, you would think our government regulators would do everything they could to lower sugar consumption. But the opposite is true—they encourage it!

Maybe the US government read the 2008 study that challenged the common notion that preventing obesity would save governments millions of dollars.3 The study suggested that healthy people are more expensive to care for because they live longer.

Maybe the government wants us to get obese—because we’ll die younger. As cynical as that sounds, it would explain why they continue to subsidize the corn syrup industry.4

Cancer Predicted to Become #1 Killer of Americans

Besides the obvious sugar-obesity link, I’ve also often discussed the intrinsic connection between sugar consumption and cancer. It’s no surprise to me that cancer rates keep rising, considering that most people consume highly processed food as the bulk of their diet.

A diet devoid of healthy fats and natural vitamins and minerals, while being chockfull of processed sugars and fructose along with synthetic chemicals of all kinds simply cannot produce health, and the proof of this is plain for all to see… A recent report by the American Society of Clinical Oncology predicts that a mere 16 years from now, cancer will be the leading cause of death in the US, surpassing heart disease, which is currently number one.  As reported by CNN Health:5

“The number of new cancer cases is expected to increase nearly 45 percent by 2030, from 1.6 million cases to 2.3 million cases annually. This influx of new patients will place a bigger burden on a field of medicine already stretched by physician shortages and financial difficulties, says the report, which highlights growing problems for cancer care in the United States.”

Without Sugar, Cancer Cannot Thrive

The most powerful essential strategy I know of to treat cancer is to starve the cells by depriving them of their food source, which, in large part, is typically sugar. Unlike all the other cells in your body, which can burn carbs or fat for fuel, cancer cells have lost that metabolic flexibility and can only thrive if there enough sugar present.  Dr. Otto Warburg was actually given a Nobel Prize over 75 years ago for figuring this out but virtually no oncologist actually uses this information.

Make no mistake about it, the FIRST thing you want to do if you want to avoid or treat cancer if you have insulin or leptin resistance (which 85 percent of people do) is to cut out all forms of sugar/fructose and grain carbs from your diet, in order to starve the cancerous cells.

I recommend reducing your total fructose intake to a maximum of 25 grams/day, from all sources, including fruit. If you are insulin resistant, you’d do well to make your upper limit 15 grams/day. Cancer patients would likely be best served by even stricter limits.  For a more detailed discussion please review my interview with Dr. Seyfreid.

The easiest way to dramatically cut down on your sugar and fructose consumption is to switch to a diet of whole, unprocessed foods, as most of the added sugar you end up with comes from processed fare, not from adding a teaspoon of sugar to your tea or coffee. But there are other ways to cut down well. This includes:

  • Cutting back on the amount of sugar you personally add to your food and drink
  • Using Stevia or Lo Han instead of sugar and/or artificial sweeteners. You can learn more about the best and worst of sugar substitutes in my previous article, “Sugar Substitutes—What’s Safe and What’s Not
  • Using fresh fruit in lieu of canned fruit or sugar for meals or recipes calling for a bit of sweetness
  • Using spices instead of sugar to add flavor to your meal

Also consider reducing your protein intake to one gram per kilogram of lean body weight. It would be unusual for most adults to need more than 100 grams of protein and most likely close to half of that amount. Replace the non-vegetable carbs (sugar/fructose/grains) and excess protein with high quality fats, such as organic eggs from pastured hens, high quality meats, avocados, and coconut oil. It’s certainly much easier to prevent cancer than to treat it, once it takes hold, and I believe you can virtually eliminate your risk of cancer (and radically improve your chances of recovering from cancer if you currently have it) by following certain basic lifestyle guidelines. Corporate Welfare: Big Ag Bailouts

A depression-era program originally intended to save American farmers from ruin has devolved into a 21st Century scam enabling the food, agricultural, and financial industry to get wealthy at the taxpayer’s expense. The game is called agricultural subsidies and crop insurance. Last year, USDA spent about $14 billion insuring farmers against the loss of crop income, almost seven times more than in 2000, according to the Congressional Research Service. This is a good deal for everyone but taxpayers. Since 2000, the handouts have only become more generous, so that farmers now pay only about 38 percent of their insurance bills. According to Bloomberg:6

“By 2013, ‘almost 1.2 million policies covering 282 million acres of farmland were in force. In 2011, the latest year for which data is available, 26 farmers each got annual subsidies of more than $1 million; more than 10,000 received $100,000 or more.'”

Is the farming industry really incapable of thriving on its own, without the help of taxpayers? Not if you look at what farmers have been earning. Farm income has doubled over the past four years. In 2011, the median income of commercial farm households was $84,649, almost 70 percent higher than the average American household.7 Subsidized insurance also gives farmers an incentive to plant on land where crops may or may not flourish, and many farmers are “farming the program” with the intent of making insurance claims rather than harvesting crops… which brings us back to sugar.

The Corn Industry Has Its Own Sugar Daddy: YOU, the Taxpayer

If you want to ascertain the government’s priorities, look no further than to which crops they subsidize most heavily. It’s clear that the profits of Big Ag trump any concern over public health or reversing the obesity epidemic. Current farm subsidies bring you high-fructose corn syrup (HFCS), fast food, junk food, corn-fed beef from CAFOs (concentrated animal feeding operations),monoculture, and a host of other contributors to our unhealthful contemporary diet.

The corn industry, thanks to its little darling HFCS, is heavily subsidized by taxpayers. Very few farm subsidies are being doled out to the farmers who grow your produce—the vast majority is sent to the meat and dairy industry and “King Corn“. Were you to grow corn without these subsidies, you’d be virtually guaranteed to lose money. Billions of dollars go to corn farmers who have driven down the price of corn so deeply that HFCS is now the number one source of calories in the standard American diet, simply because it’s so cheap. Between 1995 and 2012, the amount gifted to corn growers was $84,427,099,356. Compare this with the amount that went to apple growers: $242,064,005.8 In a 2012 report entitled “Apples to Twinkies,” it was determined that each year, your tax dollars (in the form of subsidies) would allow you to buy 19 Twinkies but less than a quarter of one red delicious apple.

US Government Suffers from ‘Fiscal Schizophrenia’

The US government is throwing money into the wind when it comes to healthcare. One office is funding an anti-obesity campaign while another across the hall subsidizes the junk food industry. For 40 years, the sugar industry has hoodwinked America, never missing an opportunity to cast doubt on studies suggesting sugar can make you ill and obese. To protect business, the industry has bought scientists and hired powerful lobbyists to ensure sugar would not be subject to legislative restriction.

Opponents of junk food subsidies line both sides of the aisle, yet amendments to the farm bill that reform the sugar subsidy and other measures that would inhibit sugar consumption repeatedly fail under the crush of the powerful sugar lobby. Congressional Democrats abandon their principles with the same vigor as Republicans when sugar money is at stake. Sugar subsidies are among the most corrupting practices of corporate welfare in the United States.9

Clipping Coupons May Be Bad for Your Health

This is a Flash-based video and may not be viewable on mobile devices.

The money trail can also be followed into the coupon kingdom. Low-income families often rely on coupons to stretch tight food budgets. But the vast majority of coupons is for processed food—not fresh produce, organic foods, or local foods. Coupons and subsidies dance to the same drummer. A new study found that most grocery store coupons slice the cost of junk food and sugary drinks, but relatively few discount high-quality meats, dairy, or fresh fruits and vegetables.10 The study, published this month in the journal Preventing Chronic Disease, looked at more than 1,000 online coupons offered by six major chain grocery stores in April 2013. The relative percentage of coupons from each food category is shown in the following chart.11

Stores obviously use these coupons to entice customers to buy things. The majority of the coupons are for processed foodsbecause those are the stores’ most profitable products, so they make deals with manufacturers to promote them. If the poorest families are the most frequent coupon users, then it makes sense they would also have the worst diets and most health problems—and indeed, that is what the research shows. The healthiest states in the union are also the wealthiest, and nearly all of the nation’s least healthy states have the lowest per capita income.12

Americans eat the cheapest food in the world, and easy access to cheap, poor-quality food is contributing to our rising illness and obesity rates. In 2010, Americans spent just over nine percent of their disposable income on food, which is less than half that of any other country. The “faster, bigger, cheaper” approach to food production is unsustainable and contributing to the destruction of our planet and health. To protect your health and the environment, strive to make 90 percent of your diet non-processed, organic whole foods. It may cost more to eat this way, but the amount you will save in the long run is immeasurable—especially with respect to the proven risks of consuming excessive sugar.

Two Sodas Per Day May DOUBLE Your Chances for an Untimely Death

A new study found a significant relationship between added sugar consumption and death from heart disease. Americans who consumed the most sugar — about a quarter of their daily calories — were twice as likely to die from heart disease as those who limited their sugar intake to seven percent of their total calories. The average American is consuming 22 teaspoons of sugar per day, about three times what’s recommended. That’s the equivalent of about two sodas.13

According to Dr. Robert Lustig, one of the leading experts on childhood obesity, excess sugar acts as a poison, responsible for weight gain and a multitude of chronic and deadly diseases. Recent research shows that fructose can activate taste cells found on your pancreas, a reaction that can increase your body’s secretion of insulin and raise your risk for type 2 diabetes. Sugar also reacts with AGEs (advanced glycation end products), which is one of the major mechanisms by which damage accrues in your body and leads to aging and disease.

To protect your health, consider restricting your fructose consumption to 25 grams per day or less. If you’re overweight or have a disease such as cancer, diabetes, or heart disease (or are at high risk for them) then you’re probably better off further reducing your fructose intake to 15 grams per day or less (and this includes all sources—HFCS, sugar, honey, agave, fruit, fruit juice, maple syrup, etc.).

Redesigning Subsidies for the Health of People and Planet

The time is ripe for change. Redesigning our food system could help move us toward health and economic recovery. If we’re going to subsidize farmers, let’s subsidize them in a way that helps restore the health of American citizens and our land—programs that might just pay for themselves by the reduction in healthcare costs they bring about. Two years ago, Mark Brittman of the New York Times14 argued that subsidy money could be easily redirected toward helping smaller farmers to compete in the marketplace in a number of ways. For example, funds could be redirected toward:

  • Funding research and innovation in sustainable agriculture
  • Providing incentives to attract new farmers
  • Saving farmland from development
  • Assisting farmers who grow currently unsubsidized fruits and vegetables, while providing incentives for monoculture commodity farmers (corn, soy, wheat, and rice) to convert some of their operations to more desirable foods
  • Leveling the playing field so that medium-sized farms can more favorably compete with agribusiness as suppliers for local supermarkets

Your Help Is Needed to Create a Farm Bill That Actually Makes Sense

If you don’t like the idea of your tax dollars funding corporate welfare programs for corporations that flood the market with sugary beverages and processed foods, join forces with organizations that are actively working for positive change. Here are five actions you can take:

  • The Environmental Working Group has started a petition urging Congress to enact a Farm Bill that protects family farmers who help us protect the environment and public health. Take a moment to sign it now.
  • Sign up with the National Sustainable Agriculture Coalition to keep abreast of news and action alerts relating to the Farm Bill.
  • Join Food Democracy Now, an organization co-founded by Aaron Woolf, director of the documentary film King Corn.
  • Of course, you can also voice your opinion every day by voting with your wallet and supporting small family farms in your area.
  • Say no to junk food producers by not buying their products, andreturn to a diet of real, whole foods—fresh organic produce, meats from animals raised sustainably and humanely on pasture, and raw organic milk and eggs.

Vaccines and infant mortality….

Posted by: admin  /  Category: Health

A study, published in Human and Experimental Toxicology, a peer-reviewed journal indexed by the National Library of Medicine, analyzed more than 38,000 reports of infant hospitalizations and deaths following vaccinations.[1] Researchers found statistically significant correlations between the number of vaccine doses administered to infants and infant hospitalization and mortality rates: babies who receive the most vaccines tend to have higher (worse) hospitalization and death rates.

Infants who received 2 vaccines simultaneously were significantly less likely to be hospitalized than infants who received 3 or more vaccines at the same time. Infants who received 3 vaccines simultaneously were significantly less likely to be hospitalized than infants who received 4 or more vaccines at the same time. Babies who received 6, 7, or 8 vaccines during a single pediatric well-baby visit were the most likely to be hospitalized following their injections. In fact, the hospitalization rate increased linearly from 11.0% for infants receiving 2 vaccine doses to 23.5% for infants receiving 8 vaccine doses.

The authors of the study, Dr. Gary Goldman and Neil Z. Miller, also discovered that younger infants were significantly more likely to be hospitalized after receiving vaccinations than older infants. In addition, infants who received 5-8 vaccines simultaneously were significantly more likely to die following their shots than infants who received 1-4 vaccines simultaneously.

Several factors could contribute to whether an infant will have an adverse reaction to vaccines, including a genetic predisposition, illness (which may be a contraindication to vaccine administration), quality of vaccines (which can vary by manufacturing methods), and sensitivity to one or more vaccine components. Some infants might be more likely to experience an adverse reaction due to biochemical or synergistic toxicity associated with concurrent administration of multiple vaccines.

In 1990, infants received a total of 15 vaccine doses prior to their first year of life. By 2007, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommended 26 vaccine doses for infants: 3 DTaP, 3 polio, 3 Hib, 3 hepatitis B, 3 pneumococcal, 3 rotavirus, and 2 influenza vaccines.

The CDC’s Childhood Immunization Schedule Was Not Tested for Safety, Lacks Scientific Veracity:

While each childhood vaccine has individually undergone clinical trials to assess safety, studies have not been conducted to determine the safety (or efficacy) of combining vaccines during a single physician visit as recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) guidelines. For example, 2-, 4-, and 6-month-old infants are expected to receive vaccines for polio, hepatitis B, diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis, rotavirus, Haemophilus influenzae type B, and pneumococcal, all during a single well-baby visit — even though this combination of 8 vaccines was never tested in clinical trials.

Although the CDC’s recommended childhood immunization schedule a) requires infants to receive up to 8 vaccines simultaneously, b) affects millions of infants annually, and c) was never scientifically tested for safety, the CDC had prior knowledge that combining chemical substances, including prescribed pharmaceuticals, “can produce health consequences that are additive, synergistic, antagonistic, or can

potentiate the response expected from individual component exposures.”[2]

Administering 6, 7, or 8 vaccine doses to an infant during a single physician visit may certainly be more convenient for parents — rather than making additional trips to the doctor’s office — but evidence of a positive association between infant adverse reactions and the number of vaccine doses administered confirms that vaccine safety must remain the highest priority.

The findings in this study show a positive correlation between the number of vaccine doses administered and the percentage of hospitalizations and deaths reported to the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS). (The VAERS database is an important postmarketing safety surveillance tool that is periodically analyzed by the CDC, FDA, and other vaccine researchers to discover potentially adverse vaccination trends.) In addition, younger infants were significantly more likely than older infants to be hospitalized or die after receiving vaccines. These trends not only have a biological plausibility but are supported by evidence from case reports, case series, and other studies using entirely different methodologies and unique population cohorts. For example, in 2011, Miller and Goldman collaborated on another study showing that among developed nations infant mortality increased with an increase in the number of vaccine doses.[3]

Since vaccines are given to millions of infants annually, it is imperative that health authorities have scientific data from synergistic toxicity studies on all combinations of vaccines that infants might receive. Finding ways to increase vaccine safety should be the highest priority.

Yes I do have the courage of my convictions….

Posted by: admin  /  Category: Health

I imagine that there are some of my readers that see posts I write or ones I repost, articles about the right foods to eat or the right things to do nutritionally and wonder if I’m just saying these things or if I believe and follow this natural regimen. Do I actually practise what I preach? well I do believe everything I post on my blog, there are things I post that I don’t or can’t do exactly as recommended. Sometimes it’s for financial reasons and sometimes its simply because it’s just not practical or possible but in the main what I write and post is because I know it’s the correct thing to do.

Now am I qualified to give advice? well I think I am, although its not advice I’m giving to a particular person. I know there are lots of people who have strong opinions and voice them to all and sundry, anyone within hearing distance sometimes, irrespective of if they ask for it or not. My own case is a little different, yes I give my opinion but it’s not an opinion formed through watching and listening to commercials on the TV and radio. After joining the world leading authority on biological dentistry and studying the toxification of the body by heavy metals such as mercury and aluminium. I spent several years focussing on understanding how this could be rectified. I pride myself on the knowledge I gained. So, am I qualified to give advice, possibly yes although that’s not what I do, but I am sharing my opinion, an opinion based on fact and solid scientific research.

My blog is just that, its my blog, I pay to host it, so I can write and post what I choose. If you decide to read my post on Facebook or twitter or wherever else this is distributed then that’s your choice not mine.

Over the years I’ve seen ads on TV sponsored by big pharma (primarily in the US) that are played between 7pm and midnight, peak viewing times seen by gazillions of people, a slight exaggeration but you know what I mean. Most people will turn their brains off during this time but subconsciously they absorb the crap doled out. So opinions are formed not through active research but because of what is shown and intended to mislead you by the powers that be.

A couple of years ago when living in Colorado I’d see various ads promoting a drug called Claritin for allergies, the actor would complain about his or her reactions to pollen or cat dander. They would refuse to live with this problem and started taking the drug, within a day or two they felt so much better and proudly pronounced they were Claritin clear.

99% of drugs or the over the counter medicines, treat a symptom of health issue, they do nothing to address the cause of the problem.

This was typical of the type of advertising that dominates the 3 minute breaks every 6 minutes.

These were actors pretending to be suffering and then rejoicing in the changes after taking the drug. In my opinion this is bad enough but then there was a series of ads promoting a cholesterol medication.

This is when it became disgusting and immoral, a leading heart surgeon was proclaiming that a drug was necessary to limit  the possibility of a heart attack

Now if this leading heart surgeon were telling the truth it wouldn’t be that bad but sadly he wasn’t. If he believed what he was saying he was either stupid or he has no morals whatsoever. I don’t think one of Americas leading heart surgeon’s is stupid, so that mean’s he’s saying these things out of a love of money. Not having the slightest concern for the people he initially trained to protect.By the way his name was Dr, Paster,,,,,,k or something similar and independent research showed he was on the payroll of nine pharmaceutical companies. Heart surgeons make good money, justifiably so but selling yourself out and making another half million each year at the expense of sick people is disgusting.

There is an article on my blog about cholesterol and why it is vital to the human body.

Now going back to the question about what I believe and what i do, I was diagnosed with MS in November 2004, the neurosurgeon told me that I would be in a wheelchair in 6 months if I didn’t get on the medication. I refused then and have never taken any drugs or pharmaceutical meds.

I studied as much as possible and read many books on this hideous disease, I maintain a healthy diet and don’t put crappy foods into my body. I’ve had MS for 10 years and I suffered with it for four years prior to official diagnosis. At home, I wall and furniture walk, I need a walker to walk short distances and a wheelchair to get around Sainsbury’s.

But I’m always researching and willing to try natural remedies.

Would I have been better off if I’d taken the drugs in 2004, for a limited I’m sure I would have been, but over the years I would have had to continually increase the dosage until the drug had little or no effect on the symptoms. At that point the disease would have turned me into a shadow of the man I was. So I’m glad I didn’t believe the lies that were told to me.

So yes I do have the courage of my convictions, I truly believe I will beat this in my own way and that is to stick with what I believe to be the truth.

This journey is painful every minute of my waking day, but I am a stubborn half German scouser and no amount of pain and discomfort is going to stop me.

I must say that me getting healthy would never have happened without the help and support of three women, my mum, my sister Suzie and my niece Deb’s, I am and will forever be grateful to you.

Foods that cause Faster Aging..

Posted by: admin  /  Category: Food

The #1 WORST Food that CAUSES Faster Aging(beware!)

Do you eat these foods that HARM your blood sugar and age your joints and skin faster?  Some are even deceptively marketed to you as “healthy” by giant food corporations.  Avoid or minimize these and look 5-10 years YOUNGER than your real age.

by Mike Geary – Certified Nutrition Specialist
& Catherine Ebeling – RN, BSN

Due to biochemical reactions in your body that occur with every type of food you eat on a daily basis, some foods age you FASTER than your real age, while other foods help to FIGHT aging.

Eat the wrong foods regularly, and you can look and feel 10 or more years OLDER than your real age (not fun!) … but eat the right foods, and over time, you can start to look 5-10 years YOUNGER than your real age.

Three of the processes that go on inside your body that have a MAJOR impact on your rate of aging are called “glycation”, “inflammation”, and “oxidation”.

When we talk about aging, we’re not just talking about wrinkles on your skin or how thick your hair is… we’re also talking about factors that you can’t see, such as how well your organs function, and whether your joints are degrading.

Yes, I’m sure you’ll agree this is much more important than just how you look superficially (although we’ll show you how to improve BOTH below!)

With the title of this article, you might have guessed that obvious answers like sugar or trans fat would be what we talk about in this article.  Yes, we all already know those are bad, but I want to discuss another food that ages your body faster than normal… and it’s one that you might not expect!

So let’s dig right in and I’ll show you how your rate of aging can be directly related to the foods you might eat every day, and how to protect yourself…

The #1 WORST food that ages you faster:

Wheat based foods (yes, even “whole wheat”)

Before I tell you why wheat can actually speed up the aging process in your body, let’s clarify some simple biochemistry in your body…

This deals with “glycation” in your body, and substances called Advanced Glycation End Products (AGEs).  These nasty little compounds called AGEs speed up the aging process in your body including damage over time to your organs, your joints, and of course, wrinkled skin.

So with that said, what is one of the biggest factors that increase production of AGEs inside your body?  This may surprise you, but high blood sugar levels over time dramatically increase age-accelerating AGEs in your body.  This is why type 2 diabetics many times appear that they have not aged well and look older than their real age.  But this age-increasing effect is not just limited to diabetics.

So, let’s get back to how “whole wheat” relates to this…

Here is a little-known fact that’s often covered up by the massive marketing campaigns by giant food companies that want you to believe that “whole wheat” is healthy for you… but the fact is that wheat contains a very unusual type of carbohydrate (not found in other foods) called Amylopectin-A, which has been found in some tests to spike your blood sugar HIGHER than even pure table sugar.

In fact, amylopectin-A (from wheat) raises your blood sugar MORE than almost any other carbohydrate source on earth based on blood sugar response testing that’s documented in studies.

This means that wheat-based foods such as breads, bagels, cereals, muffins, and other baked goods often cause MUCH higher blood sugar levels than most other carbohydrate sources.  If you don’t believe me, here’s something you should know… I ran personal blood sugar tests on myself using a blood glucometer about 45 minutes after eating 2 slices of wheat bread vs eating a bowl of oatmeal, with equivalent grams of carbs.

Click here to discover 101 superfoods, herbs, and spices that SLOW aging

These powerful anti-aging superfoods are proven to Heal your joints, prevent diabetes, normalize your blood pressure, protect your brain health, fix your digestion, and boost your sluggish metabolism

The blood sugar test results:

2 slices of whole wheat toast:
45 minutes after consumption:  Blood sugar spiked from 86 fasting level to 155.

1 Bowl of Oatmeal (equivalent grams of carbs to 2 slices wheat toast)
45 minutes after consumption:   Blood sugar raised from 86 fasting level to 112

As you know now, the higher your average blood sugar levels are over time, the more AGEs are formed inside your body, which makes you age FASTER.  Clearly, the whole wheat spiked blood sugar MUCH higher than the oatmeal, and if you don’t know, 155 is a massive blood sugar reading that will certainly contribute to faster aging if you eat wheat frequently.

You’ve probably also heard about the potential health-damaging effects of gluten (another problematic compound found in wheat that can cause inflammation in your digestive system) in the news recently, but this blood sugar aspect we just covered is not talked about that often, and is yet another reason to reduce or eliminate wheat-based foods in your diet.  Your body will thank you by aging slower and looking YOUNGER!

And losing bodyfat is typically another fun side effect of eliminating or reducing wheat in your diet!

Yet another problem with wheat-based foods and aging…

As it turns out, baked wheat products contain carcinogenic chemicals calledacrylamides that form in the browned portion of breads, cereals, muffins, etc.  These carcinogenic acrylamides have been linked in studies to possible increased risk of cancer and accelerated aging.  Note that acrylamides are also found in high levels in other browned carbohydrate sources such as french fries or any other browned starchy foods.

Don’t worry though… There’s a trick that you can use to protect yourself from these carcinogenic acrylamides, and it has to do with eating the RIGHT foods that COUNTERACT damage from these nasty chemicals.  I’ll show you how to find theEXACT foods that protect your body on the next page!

Other foods to watch out for that can increase aging in your body include corn-based foods that also disrupt blood sugar highly (corn cereals, corn chips, corn syrup), soybean oil and other “vegetable” oils that contain excessively refined and processed fats that cause inflammation in your body, and also excess sugars from candies, cakes, and sweetened drinks.

A healthy weight for you…

Posted by: admin  /  Category: Health

So many people around the world are not happy about their weight and will often complain that no matter what they do or whatever diet they try they simply cannot keep the weight off.

In reality trying a diet per se is the wrong thing to do, a diet should be your diet meaning it shouldn’t be something you do for a couple of weeks or months. Your diet should be the foods or should I be more specific here, the nutrition you consume on a daily basis.

Consuming these commonly eaten or consumed food and drinks are one of the main reason’s you find it nigh on impossible to maintain a healthy weight.

Sugar, alcohol and caffeine, in that order, are the worst foods you can eat and major contributors to weight gain.

All carbohydrates consumed will at some point be converted into sugar in the body; Sugar is the converted into triglycerides. When you see someone with extra weight around their hips and thighs, that’s not because they’ve been eating a fatty diet, it’s because of carbs and sugars which have been stored by the body’s natural  instinct to protect itself and store fat’s to be saved for fuel for later.

Sugar is consumed in so many unlikely foods that the average consumption of sugar worldwide is more than 43 lbs per person per
year.

That isn’t the case for Americans where sugar is consumed at a much higher level; in
fact it’s closer to 140 lbs per person per year.

Another  problem is that sugars will imbalance the chemistries of carbohydrate
metabolism and it does this more dramatically than anything else.

Sugar affects the balance of calcium and phosphorus these two should have a ratio of
2 ½ to 1, an ideal balanced ration is 10 mg% to  4 mg% of calcium to phosphorus.

When this balance is upset you may experience a build up of calculus on the teeth, cataracts in
the eyes, kidney stones, gallstones, arthritis or arterial sclerosis. This can lead to serious health problems, however, correcting
this imbalance has shown a reversal in these problems.

A good alternative to sugar is not the sugar substitutes like Aspartame or high
fructose corn syrup, but honey or agave nectar but agave nectar should also be used sparingly

I’ll mention this now before I forget; aspartame is probably in close to 9,000 food
and drink products sold in America. Aspartame has been shown to mimic the
detrimental effects of multiple sclerosis. It affects the pancreas negatively,
believing it has to deal with sugar and addressing the insulin issue when in
reality that isn’t a problem so the pancreas is overworked. It’s the “cry wolf”
syndrome so when the pancreas is actually called into play it simply can’t do
its job properly.

Aspartame is converted into methanol, then into formic acid (fire ants inject formic acid
when they bite) then into formaldehyde which as you know, is embalming fluid,
not nice for the living body.

Alcohol, most populations around the world have alcohol built into their social life, in
fact when a person doesn’t drink alcohol he or she is often seen as a strange
person.

I’ll not go into depth on this subject because I believe most people already know of
the detrimental effects alcohol can have on your liver and kidneys.

I think you all know that hard liquor is harder on your body than beer or wine,
wine is probably the easiest for the body to assimilate and has less harmful
effects on your chemistries. White wine is closer to the body’s natural ph so
is easier to deal with. I suppose if you are going to drink when you socialize
then white wine would be considered more acceptable.

Caffeine, looking back on my time with Dr. Huggins I distinctly remember him talking more
negatively about caffeine than anything else. In fact I remember him telling me
that if caffeine disappeared off the face of the earth then probably 40% of
physicians would be out of work.

One cup of coffee requires roughly 3 units of insulin to metabolize; a doctor had a

relative with diabetes who was taking 18 units of insulin per day. He asked how
much coffee he drank and was told about 6 cups per day. He put two and two
together as in 6 cups of coffee each requiring 3 units of insulin equaling 18
units. He explained his understanding and suggested not drinking coffee as a
way of eliminating the diabetes. He stopped drinking coffee but continued with
the insulin which resulted in insulin shock. I’m not suggesting you take this
action believing it will rid you of diabetes however it should be considered
and discussed with your medical professional.

There are about 30 mgs of caffeine in the average candy bar (chocolate, you’ll find
about 125 mgs in a cup of coffee, however a regular Starbucks contains around
250 mgs and their Grande has approximately 550 mgs.

Starbucks also put other ingredients in their coffee (excitotoxins) which make you crave
a “Starbucks” not just a coffee.

You’ll also find caffeine in most tea’s plus soft drinks; this can vary from as little
as 34 mgs to more than 70 mgs.

So cut your coffee intake, reduce your carbs and cut sugar completely, then establishing and maintaining a healthy weight will be a lot easier.

Hmm, lets create an illness..

Posted by: admin  /  Category: Health

Well today was another mag chloride soak day and after an hour I felt very specific improvements, I have to point out that my improvements are always subtle changes that may or may not be noticeable to other people. However living in my body the changes albeit minor are little victories to me.

The magnesium chloride soak is the safest and fastest way for a human body to absorb this extremely important mineral. So many organs and what may be perceived as basic functions of a healthy body are restricted dramatically in the absence of magnesium.

There are numerous forms of magnesium in tablet form available to buy and in reality they all will help, some more than others and the good thing is that just about everyone will benefit by making this a daily habit.

Over the past 25 years give or take, big pharma and this includes  companies like Smithkline Beecham  have taken a stranglehold on people in the western world.

They are mistakenly associated with and thought of as companies that have the health of mankind as their best interests. When this is as far from the truth as you can imagine.

All these companies are interested in is their own and shareholders profit. I can understand every business simply wants to be profitable, that’s why they are in business so they can’t be blamed, or can they.

Governments are surely just as guilty for allowing these pariah’s to continue day after day, month after month and year after year.

Surely these people have a conscience, apparently not because they are allowed to make billions of pounds and dollars profit every year.

In 2006 a Brit called Jackie Law wrote a book called; Big pharma: How the worlds biggest drug companies control illness.

In its 256 pages he clearly outline the control that these people have and identifies the failure of government to control the manipulation of the uninformed public.

The millions spent in research is not looking for a cure to an established illness or disease, no, the majority is spent on creating an illness….yes illness and a drug to address one of it’s many symptoms. This way a commercial or advertisement in the US can be made, in the ad you’ll hear what looks like an average person stating that they’ve had enough of a particular annoying health issue such as an allergy to pollen. So they are now taking a specific drug and hey presto….now they feel ok. Feel OK is the correct description because if they stop taking the drug that is only addressing the symptom they feel crappy again, so the person commits themselves to life with that drug which is probably added to many more OTC drugs.

Sick people = cash cow for big pharma…

The drug companies have invested multi millions in creating the problem and cure for symptom. They make billions from the sale and set aside maybe a hundred million to pay out in compensation, but this is a very lucrative business.

Now please, before you scream and shout that I am such an A-hole for writing this, please do some research and not simply looking at those companies that make the drugs. Look at the research from the many independent’s out there.

Look at Harry Hoxsey, Max and Charlotte Gerson, Hulda Clark, Weston A Price and the Price Pottenger Foundation to name a few.

Am I mad at these people…

Posted by: admin  /  Category: Uncategorized

I suppose there could be a split in opinions between those reading this account of what happened, someone reading my blog who didn’t actually know me would understand how I was feeling at the time, at the end of the day I was really screwed by people I believed thought of me as a loyal friend, colleague and employee. I imagine there may be differences in opinions, those siding with me and others wanting to live in Switzerland, I don’t have a problem with that.

I decided to express my feelings simply because I don’t think it’s healthy to bottle things up especially when it’s a very important experience to me.

I look on Dr. Huggins as an amazing man, someone that should and I believe will be remembered in the same light as Linus Pauling, Weston A Price, Max and Charlotte Gerson and Hulda Clark. His work will be revered in the future when people eventually accept that the ADA, the AMA the Pharmaceutical industry are intent on making profits at the expense of keeping mankind sick.

I have no intention of harming anyone mentioned here, this is simply my opinion of those people. What happened is a fact, it’s not how I saw it, this is what took place. You can make your own mind up and have your own opinion. If you think it’s perfectly ok to “let someone go” after 3 ½ years of dedicated service with no severance pay, in fact to short pay them then that’s up to you.

I committed my life to him, as I mentioned before, I worked more than 400 extra unpaid hours in my first full year, in fact I didn’t take a holiday/vacation at all until my third year. Even when I did take some time off to spend with my mum and sister who’d flown over from England I still went into the office for an hour or two on four of the five days that week.

Yes I have the utmost respect for that man professionally, but personally it’s a different story, he has the morals of an alleycat. I’d hear him on the phone to numerous women he’d flirt with, people that were clients. He had a live in partner who at the time he’d been with for more than 8 years. The flirting lead to more than that, in fact at one clinic there were two liaisons taking place which the OM painstakingly kept them apart. It was noted by the client’s attending the clinic, one or two voiced their unhappy opinions to me after the two week stay. That’s not the actions of someone professing to be a christian especially not someone professing to have the Lord speak through him.

I could be a lot more detailed if I was truly looking to hurt him, but I’m not, I could name several women he flirted with and had relationships of a kind, I could specifically name the lady on the east coast who he talked to every day and probably still does but I won’t. LB is a lovely woman, I talked to her myself a lot of times and I actually do think she loves him.

Does he love her? in his unique way I’m sure he does but when it comes to women especially attractive ones then doc is doc……

Letting me go in the way “they” did is what happened, big deal, Colorado is an “AT WILL” state and for my non american readers that means an employer can fire you, sack you, dismiss you for no reason at all.  However what happened after was not just a case of releasing me it was downright evil…

Writing my e-book didn’t damage doc, it didn’t dispute his work or technique’s, in fact on the contrary it praised him for his fortitude, his unequalled knowledge and experience. I stated very clearly that I revered the man and if the reader liked what I said then I encouraged them to contact his office because no one else could do what he does.

My blog did the same, I gave my point of view based on the knowledge I’d gained from reading his books and studying his work. I didn’t explain how to go through body chemistry re-balancing, no, I recommended they talk with him.

I talked about the dangers of regular dental work and how a dentist, untrained in the Huggins technique’s could create problems that may lead to serious health conditions as clearly discovered by Dr. Huggins and Melvin Page and Weston Price before him.

My book and blog were and are very ”pro” Huggins, so how they treated me after letting me go was not just a parting of the ways, it was downright diabolical… They…yes They not just him were evil, they didn’t need to threaten me with legal action and prevent me from earning a living. They didn’t have to put me through the stress that inevitably worsened my health and lead to me returning to England.

Am I mad at these people…no, but I am very disappointed.

He has become a sad, bitter, cantankerous and selfish old man.

The OM, well yes she’s fun, bubbly and very loud at times and she’s your best friend if…if she can see something she can gain from knowing you. But the other side of her is frightening, she can turn at the drop of a hat into a rottweiler with lipstick…

Again this is my opinion and as we all know, an opinion is allowed and this is my blog.

Unbelievable…

Posted by: admin  /  Category: Health

So my thoughts were that if the Alliance would use me on a consultative basis I could possibly earn enough to support myself then I wouldn’t need to worry anymore. It seemed  my luck was changing for the better,

Over the next couple of weeks I made some changes at home so I’d be able to deal with the calls I was going to have to make when the Alliance employed my service as a consultant.

In my job as CSD for doc I would speak to between 10 and 25 clients daily, some would be new calls both one’s coming in and those I’d make in response to telephone or email enquiries.

There was a large number of calls made to clients who’d actually bought a Huggins recovery program or attended a clinic which doc and the chosen dentist that could have been in PA or TX..

So in my consultative role I’d be doing the same thing but in these cases the client would need to understand why they needed to have dental work with the Huggins trained dentist and not necessarily go through body chemistry rebalancing with Dr. H.

I arranged for a landline to be installed and made arrangements with AT+T to have more minutes available on my cell/mobile. At the end of the second week I started to worry that I’d not heard from any of the Alliance dentists or Dr.G.

I called her in the evening wanting to know if she knew anything, but my calls all went to voicemail. A week passed before I was able to speak with her and find out what was going on. She said that she’d not been able to speak with any of them, this shocked and confused me as she was the president of the biological dentists in the US. If a dentist was a member of this organisation you didn’t not take or return calls.

Eventually I got the news that felt like a kick in the gut, the Alliance had been warned off by Dr.H they;d basically been told that they couldn’t use me, in fact it got worse than that, they’d been warned not to have any communication with me.

What I didn’t understand was why would he do this? why would he make it so I would be unable to earn a living. How could he be so evil, so cruel to someone that had only sung his praises from the rooftops. Doc knew I’d take a bullet for him and yet now didn’t give a damn if I lived or died.

No, I don’t think I’m exaggerating, I couldn’t do a manual job, physically it just wasn’t possible and the fact I was 55 didn’t really put me in an employable category. Oh crap now what could I do.

My unemployment benefits were limited, I could pay my rent, my truck and utilities but it didn’t leave much left over for food and gas.

This horrible disease is bad, it’s a degenerative disease that slowly but surely restricts my movements and ties up my immune system which leaves me open to attack from the invaders normal healthy people can repel People don’t die from MS per se, but as their immune system becomes weaker and weaker a bad cold could finish me off, oh pooh

I still take numerous supplements, no drugs eeuck… only the nutients and vitamins especially loading up with vitamin C,  I’d learned through doc that my body needed if possible  in the form of Lipospheric Getting these was becoming more and more difficult as the money I received monthly was rapidly coming to an end.

At this time I really didn’t know what to do or for that matter what i could do, things were looking bleak and for the first time in my life I was depressed….

Part three…

Posted by: admin  /  Category: Uncategorized

I’d spent a lot of time emailing Amazon regarding the book, it was considerably more difficult than I’d imagined getting the book into the correct format so it could go on sale. It had to be in a particular format so it could be read on a Kindle, After numerous attempts it was finally ready, I promoted it to the Alliance of Huggins trained dentists and fortunately for me several dentists could see the benefit of giving a copy to their patients. At this time it was selling for $5.99 and several hundred were purchased.

I was a little disappointed that the general visitors to Amazon didn’t buy in the numbers I’d hoped but my thoughts were that given time it would sell.

This is where the evil twins stepped in again, I received a letter from a lawyer representing doc, this wasn’t his normal guy this was a personal friend of the rottweiler with lipstick. In it I was threatened with being sued, deportation and somehow threatened with legal action by Homeland Security. The last part confused me but at the end of the day I was penniless so defending myself with a reputable law firm was out of the question.

So I took the book off the market and as I’m sure you can imagine, the worries screaming through my head continued to disturb the fragile person I’d become.

I searched for a law firm to help me, but sadly all the advertisements on TV and the radio failed to find any that would help with the “no win, no fee” promotions. There was the standard $5,000 up front response even when most acknowledged the bias towards my side. Eventually I found a lawyer that had gone back into practice after he’d retired as a judge. A nice man but after reading the letter from the slimy lawyer explained that yes I did have a case but it wasn’t one that would be profitable to him so I should just drop it.

The next day I decided that Huggins wasn’t going to beat me so easily, I was right in what I was doing, the book and blog both promoted his work and encouraged the reader to contact his office. I emphasised that yes I am knowledgeable but what I know could be stored in doc’s little finger.

But I was mad now and I was going to the media with my story, I would spill the beans on his clandestine life with several female clients and one particular employee. I would let his “live in partner” know what this moral free man was doing. I mentioned this to Carolyn for her take on my proposed actions. She tried to reason with me but I was adamant. My back was to the wall and I was going down fighting.

The next day I received a call from Dr, Grube, she had been a good friend to doc for 25 years and had always been his strongest advocate. She literally begged me to not go through with this. After an hour I agreed to not go public. She said she would contact the Alliance (around 50 Huggins trained dentists) and recommend that they use me as a consultant. She’d also recommend that they pay me a retainer of $500 per month. For this I would talk to their patients as I had in my work for doc. If 10 agreed to this it would generate around $5,000 each month. This would be good for me, so my mind was at rest and I calmed down believing things would be ok.

Dr. Grube was an amazing woman and I was so grateful for this and how wonderful she’d been over the years.

Tomorrow, I couldn’t believe what happened next…
